Dr. Martha Mclaughlin, MD

Mine and my wives’ baby died under the care of this doctor. Kept in hospital for 3 days without any fetal movement and she wasn’t concerned. My wife pleaded with her something was definitely wrong and DR Martha didn’t seem to care our baby was not in any danger. On the fourth day, our baby died. Our baby’s was well past viable and she did nothing. She said baby’s stop moving at 30 weeks gestation. Dr Martha informed her this was her second stillbirth. We were given false hope by Dr Martha about autopsy. She left and moved to Birmingham and immediately became board certified, which we thought she already was. This doctor ruined our lives. We can no longer conceive after trying for 10 years our baby. This doctor could not remember anything each doctor’s visit even when a chart was placed in front of her. She yawned compulsively every doctor visit and had a broken foot. My opinion was she was either on drugs. Please please think of someone else for a doctor. I don’t want this happening… for the third time. There maybe more stillborns or infant loses if you decide to have her as your OB.

She's excellent.

Dr. McLaughlin CARES about her patients and her babies. I wish she wouldn't have left Meridian. I miss her so bad. She is not just your doctor she is your friend.

Dr. McLaughlin was my doctor for my first and second pregnancies. She was excellent. She answered every one of my questions and always spent as much time with me as I needed. My second pregancy was high-risk and I thought about going to Jackson but decided to stay with Dr. McLaughlin since she was UAB trained. Good news is I love visiting Birmingham and now I know I will be there at least once a year for my check-up. We will miss you Dr. McLaughlin. I hate to see you go but I also know that home is where everyone wants to be.

I had an extremely high risk pregnancy. Dr. McLaughlin is a perfectionist. She does everything by the book. If she is in doubt she will check it out. She is so kind and caring. Sure hate to see her go, but am thinking about making the trip to Birmingham. She's that good!

Great doctor. Model for professionalism. Some may not like her because she does not mix words.

Dr. McLaughlin has been my doctor since she came to Meridian. She has always spent time with me and answered any questions I may have had. She is very professional and caring along with her staff. The staff returns your calls and yes I have been called back well after 5:00 several times by them. Dr. McLaughlin delivered my second child this year and at every office visit during my pregnancy she answered all of my questions and concerns. Also, her bedside manner was great. She made me and my husband feel very comfortable. I hate to see her go, but I understand that she wants to be with her family. I will miss her very much!! Thanks for all you have done for our family!!!!!!

Thanks you for all that you have done for my family. I am so glad I had my surgery before you left,,,I feel wonderful !! We are going to miss you and your staff,,,,but guess what we will be coming to Birmingham to see you !!Thanks Again !!
