He is good at what he does but he is a jerk.

Dr Hilton was excellent when we consulted him. However when it came to setting our surgery date it took many calls to his office staff to get any response. Turns out not only did they have the wrong tel. number for me but even had the wrong knee marked for surgery! After many fall calls we finally obtained a surgery date. We were also told his office would call my cardiac surgeon to get his clearance. This was never done. Then Longview regional started calling , still using the wrong phone number! And still talking about surgery on the wrong knee! Finally everything was set up. Then Longview regional calls just 24 hrs before my surgery to cancel the surgery, saying they had still not heard from my cardiologist saying I should have contacted him myself,which is incorrect I was never asked to do this, Dr Hiltons staff were meant to do this! I am both disappointed and angry at the poor coordination and lack of communication. This process was a disaster waiting to happen from day one! Now… I'll have to no doubt go through the whole process again! Meanwhile my LEFT knee ( not the right how many more times did I have to tell them) continues to give me bad pain.

I waited a while to write this review to see how things played out. I had bilateral makoplasty (both knees) on Mar 23, 2020. This was right before the Covid-19 shutdown and I think I got the last two knees in Longview, TX. As it turns out, I am a big fan of Makoplasty (and Dr. Hilton). It's been about 14 weeks and my left knee is AWESOME. My right knee is really good and improving every day. I've read that you should not expect to have the same outcome on both knees of a bilateral replacement, and in my case, that is true. The left knee feels like a REAL knee. The right knee feels a bit unstable, but that is improving daily. I would not hesitate to undergo this surgery again tomorrow if I could expect the same outcome. The lack of knee pain is incredible. I am a firm believer in Makoplasty, Dr. Hilton, and Lgv Regional hospital. They were all great!

Dr.Hilton explained my surgery plan of action. He answered my questions and had a calming spirit. I am thrilled to have him as my surgeon. He prayed with me before I went into surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Hilton.

Scheduled a first appt with Dr Hilton, had major pain in my Left knee. I am a former football player and coach so i am very familiar with symptoms of this injury, etc. Saw Dr Hilton and he thought it might not be a ligament tear, wanted to give it a few weeks. I got a injection and went home. Several other factors including my weight had to be considered. After 2 days the pain was still so bad I knew it wasnt a sprain so i called the office and they talked to Dr Hilton, he scheduled a MRI for me for 3 days away. I went and had the MRI, they relayed the info to Dr Hilton that day and Dr Hilton's office called me and informed me that I had a torn meniscus. We Scheduled Surgery for the following Friday, 5 days away. Went in for Surgery and while doing the standard pre op test, the EKG was irregular.. So the nurse at Longview Regional informed me that Dr Hilton was not comfortable doing surgery and that they would schedule me a appt with a cardiologist. Went to the cardiologist and had… a stress est 2 days later. Fortunately everything was fine. We re scheduled the surgery for the next Monday. Went and had the surgery, everything was fine. Rehab went fine and everything Dr Hilton and I talked about in the recovery process was factual. He had a great bedside manner, listened to my questions and concerns. I would use him again without question.

I went for knee pain. In the X-Ray room, the female tech, grabbed my leg and straightened it out, never mind that I yelled in pain. Nobody came in, must be a common occurance then.... Dr. Hilton said it wasn't a torn ligament, just arthritis. Okay, maybe. I asked if the pain that I had been having in my neck and back might be arthritis, and could he please check. He looked at my chart, (no xrays of back or neck mind you) and said very professionally, "Probably". I don't trust this guy at all, and neither should you.

My experience was fantastic, great doctor, nurses and surgery staff! Longview Regional was exceptional in their caring and home town atmosphere! You just don't get that now days in a corporate hospital world! Thank you to all whom cared for me during my hospital stay! Knee replacement is not a easy surgery but they made it much better!

My mother has suffered with hip pain and osteoarthritis for 6 years. She set an appointment with Dr. Hilton and I drove 2 hours to attend the pre-op class to make sure every detail was taken care of. We arrive morning of surgery and the nurse puts her on IV drugs and numbs her hip before the doctor comes in to inform her that he can't do the surgery today because of a contraindicated medication, which my mother was NOT informed of. When my mother started crying I got upset and the staff called security on us instead of comforting us. They said they would call us that afternoon to reschedule but never did, and blew us off when we tried to call to inquire. We have hired another surgeon and hope that no one has to endure the pain, humiliation and unprofessionalism Dr. Hilton and his staff put us through.
