Dr. Mary Catherine Kauderer, MD

Dr. Mary C. Kauderer, who recently completed three-year residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (UB), joined Buffalo Medical Group, PC, in September 2010.

Together with Philip T. Kuruvilla, MD, she provides the physician leadership for BMG's newest service, the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Kauderer earned her medical degree Magna Cum Laude at UB after which she completed a one-year internship there in the Department of Internal Medicine. During the past year, she served as Chief Resident in the UB Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program. Creating resident schedules, coordinating lectures and overseeing Assistant Chief Residents in their administrative and educational duties, were among her responsibilities.

A native of Western New York, Dr. Kauderer is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of …Academic Physiatrists, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Medical Association, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.

She specializes in the treatment of patients with a wide range of medical problems, some of which include neck and back pain, arthritis, nerve pain, spasticity, and other injuries and diseases of the muscles, joints and nerves.
