  • Neurology

A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.

A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. Excellent Neurologist

When I first saw Dr. Watts, I was having migraines every day. She was able to get me down to about 4 or 5 a month. I have been using her for 11 years and am so thankful to have found her. I drive an hour (one way) to each visit, now only once a year. I have recommended her to my Mom, with similar results. Her staff is also excellent.

Two Stars

I don't feel she took my condition seriously. I never had the opportunity to talk to ghe doctor when I called with a concern. The response I got from the nurse the last time was extremely cold I decided to go to another neurologist.

A True Blessing

I have suffered from migraine headaches for decades. As I moved around the country I have been treated by several specialists and found Dr Watts by far to be the easiest to talk with, the most knowledgeable and skilled, and to offer the most effective treatment. Her clinic is very well run, with everyone there always very helpful and compassionate. If you live in the Dallas area and suffer from headaches, I would highly recommend her.
