Dr. Law graduated from John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia. He received Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. His Medical Degree was awarded in 1986 from the Medical College of Virginia. His internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery were served at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit, Erlanger Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident from 1991 to 1992.

Dr. Law was honored as a member of the American Orthopaedic Association's Class of 2008, and has been awarded professional honors such as the "Merck Aware" - Merck Pharmaceuticals; Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society; Best Paper Award: ARGOS Spine Society; and membership in the Top 100 Spine surgeons-Guide to America's Top Surgeons. Additional honors include Laurel’s Honor Society, Erlanger Medical Center House Staff Association President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and Presidency of the VCU Pre Health Science Club.

Dr. Law has held leadership positions in several professional societies, including Board Member of ARGOS Europe and founding Board Member of ARGOS North America; Chairman of Spine Surgery, Centennial Medical Center; and Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery, Baptist North Tower Hospital, Nashville, TN.

Dr. Law had the highest national score on the 1988 Orthopaedic-in-Training examination. Among other honors that Dr. Law has received is citation in the Cambridge "Who’s Who among Professional Physicians," election to "Guide to America’s Top Surgeons," listing in "America’s Top Doctors for Spinal Fusion" in Money Magazine, and election to "Guide to America’s Top Surgeons" for the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Dr. Law received fellowships from Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Hospital, and the University of Washington Harborview Medical Center. He is a Daniel E. Hogan Spine Fellow and has an AO/ASIF Traveling Fellowship, as well as a Fellowship in Trauma and Spine.

Dr. Law has served as Chairman of the Spine Quality Committee at Centennial Medical Center, as well as past service as Chief of Surgery at Baptist North Tower Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He has also served on committees and sat on the Boards of several health care businesses.

Dr. Law is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Nashville Academy of Medicine, Tennessee Orthopaedic Society, ARGOS Europe and North America Spine Societies, J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society, and the Student National Medical Association. He has also been involved with the Boy Scouts of America, the VCU Pre Med. Club, and the Mountain City Medical Society.

Dr. Law’s community interests include serving as a volunteer physician and sponsor for the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Race for the Cure, team physician for Centennial Sportsplex Benefit Events, and as team physician for the Brentwood YMCA Soccer Team and the Howard High School Football team in Chattanooga. He has volunteered at the Poison Control Center, for the American Red Cross, as a Math and Science Tutor in Richmond, Virginia, and with the YMCA Summer Youth Program.

In his spare time, Dr. Law enjoys participating in skiing, skating, tennis, swimming, water sports, traveling, automobiles, architecture, engineering, computers, and antique medical textbooks.
