Dr. Michael Andreas Flierl, MD

My wife went to him for a possible knee replacement in the fall of last year. She provided him an MRI from 2 years ago. He said a new MRI was not necessary and recommended a partial knee replacement. She then proceeded to have the surgery and still experiences pain. Goes back to him after having another MRI (4 months after surgery) and he then states that she now has arthritis in her knee and now needs the full replacement. Perhaps he should have ordered a new MRI before surgery. And how could have not seen any signs of arthritis during surgery? And not only that, he had an oh well attitude with my wife when he told her.

Dr. Fluerl replaced my knee after I received MRSA from him not wearing gloves while draining my knee……. MRSA….. Got so bad they had to remove my replaced knee I have pics to prove it

Dr Flierl is a very nice and intelligent doctor. He responds all question patiently. He did a great successful surgery to replace my mom right side knee .

Visiting Dr. Flierl's office in Shelby Twp. was a very pleasant experience. X rays were taken within minutes after my arrival and the wait time to see Dr Flierl was very short. Dr Flierl was very thorough answered all of my questions, no rush. He explained all my options. I was very pleased with my experience!

I was able to make an appointment sooner than expected, after my primary Doctor's recommendation Pleasant receptionist took basic information. I was able to fill out questionnaire and other information on-line. Quick check in. Less than 5 minutes before a staff settled me in exam room. Promptly seen by staff person who reviewed my symptoms and, a series of X-rays were taken and a PA reviewed results with me before the doctor came in. Doctor came in and discussed findings and went over short and long term options. He was able to provide some immediate treatment. I was quite amazed by professionalism, speed and efficiency. All this in a warm, caring, personalized atmosphere. A very good experience.

Everyone one was very polite and explain everything that was being done. Dr. Flierl was very professional. He explained everything in detail that I need done. The visit went very well I think.
