Dr. Michael Alan Grinney, MD

Tonight in the ER my husband was seen by Dr Grinney. He was professional, kind and compassionate. He listened to my husband symptoms and got him prompt and correct care. Thank you Dr Grinney and the entire Mayo staff.

He does not care and is rude and VERY Obnoxious.

Very proficient and professional.

I have to say - none of what I'm reading below is surprising. Through some horrible luck, I happened to see Dr. Grinney twice on two nights - I left without having my gallbladder infection diagnosed the first night because he just plain missed it. Then, when I returned in more pain the next night he finally diagnosed it (or rather the PA did), but Dr. Grinney blamed ME for the delay because he said I should have come back sooner. I'm talking to a lawyer and will probably end up suing him. If you go to Mayo and end up seeing Dr. Grinney, just INSIST on seeing someone else. He's horrible and I can't believe that a world-class hospital like this one actually hired him. Were they that desperate??????

My 5-year-old son was ill and I just needed someone to be gentle and nice with him - and this doctor was absolutely heartless and cruel. I had to try to explain to him why this man was so very different from the other nice doctors he has met in the past.

No compassion at all, and a misdiagnosis to boot - how did this doctor graduate from medical school???

How is this man even a doctor???

I came into the ER in great pain. I was in so much pain I could not wait for a dr. Appt. I had in 3 hours. Dr. Grinney said I kept interrupting him and made me stop talking. I saw it was futile with this man after awhile and said I would just leave. The very rude nurse said,"Oh, you ARE going to make that appt". Dr. Grinney walked out and said "Just go home". I painfully made it out to my car with no help. When I saw my dr., I was sent BACK to the ER where even the receptionist was rude and rolled his eyes when he saw me. Thankfully, a wonderful triage nurse came out and got me when she heard me crying. She put on my records I did not ever want to see Dr. Grinney again. I saw him confer with another ER dr. who came over and asked me if I abused drugs. Not hardly! I hate pain Meds. It was not my fault the Mayo could not find out what was wrong with me. It was my hip and I had a hip replacement eventually. It was just so humiliating.

Rude and aggressive, also made several unprofessional comments regarding my wife and her appearance.

Dr.Grinney was great. I was in great pain do to a kidney stone. He treated me very well with the pain and showed concern. Flagler hospital was great. I hope to stay away from Er's, but if I could plan a kidney stone, I would plan one with Dr. Grinney working that day.
