Dr. Michael Frank Hamant, MD

First visit, we asked questions and got a lecture for each question. Then, Dr. Hamant accepted a PERSONAL phone call right in the middle of our visit, in the exam room. Then he made another personal call to his wife. No "excuse me" or anything, either! Then the staff calls up my husband with test results and erroneously tells my husband he has cancer, scaring the crap out of both of us!!!! Thankfully, he doesn't have cancer, but the stress of those couple of days was huge and unnecessary. This last visit, since we have not found another doctor yet, he just walked out of the room without saying "OK, you're done," or anything. We had to ask him (seated at his desk) if we were finished. He just said "yes, you're done." Then he completely screwed up our insurance/billing and caused us yet another headache, by submitting a claim to Medicare, which my husband doesn't even have. The staff is unapologetic and completely unprofessional, and incompetent, too. Do NOT go here!!!!

I have been seeing him since 2000 or so and I love that he is throughout. He is straight forward and I feel that he always takes time to gather the big picture which is very important for me. I try to ensure all other doctor notes and tests go to him bc I know he takes a lot of consideration for my file. He has a friendly demeanor but generally tries to work your case in your appointments, not a lot of chit chat. I adore him and feel all confidence for everything he says esp his guidance to follow through and he chooses the best doctors for referrals!

I am so very thankful that I found Dr hamant. He takes time to explain things. Answer any questions. I hope my insurance stays the same so I can stay with him

I am a new patient of Dr. Hamant hes really rather freat. His staff was incrediably friendly and his Medical assistant that took my vitals and helped me checked in was just a doll. I would highly recommend Dr. Hamant.

Meticulous. Always gets me referrals to the best specialists. Very analytical; skilled at making correct and difficult diagnoses.

Always have to hold when calling into the office. expect to hold for about 5 minutes before someone will be able to speak with you.

No bedside manner, thinks everyone is chasing a pill, everyone was rude

A friend who is a social worker went to my first--and ONLY--appt with Dr. Hamant and said she could not believe how he treated me. He declared prior labs I took in "hocus pocus" and said the progesterone cream my endocrinologist has me using is "bogus". He conceded to refer me for a sleep study because a UnitedHealthcare employee suggested I need one after nearly a year of very little sleep--but though it showed I indeed barely sleep, all this doctor looked at was that I do not have sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome. Iʻm sure heʻs great with athletes...

Man, man! After two visits I had to find another doctor. Hate to be rude but this doctor, in my opinion totally lacks passion for his chosen career. In a word, he's expressionless. One plus: The staff was real good with callbacks.
