Dr Michael Katopes

I have visited the Med Spa on several occasions and the service is excellent. Love the staff there they are very professional and caring.

Dr Katopes and his staff have taken care of myself and my family for over 15 years! My children have grown up in this practice. Dr Katopes is a down to earth doctor who provides excellent patient care, his team of nurse and front office staff always go the extra mile to follow up with us and keep us informed. After seeing many other doctors, this doctor is a genius, he diagnosed my condition after several other doctors misdiagnosed me for several years. Dr Katopes has a true gift and seems to know what is wrong with myself and family immediatly. I see other comments saying he doesn't spend enough time with them or doesn't "listen". If you need a counselor then see a counselor to listen to you talk for hours. This doctor is a true professional and has worked in his field for so long that he can quickly and accurately diagnose any problem without spending an hour and running up unnecessary charges and running unnecessary test. He assessed my condition quickly and accurately after many… other doctors failed to do so! He has been in medicine so long it just comes natural to him. This is like a small town family doctor, who always remembers your name and your families names. All of his staff members are wonderful and several have worked with him for the entire time my family has been patients there, which says a lot about how great of a practice this is. I've seen several doctors in the past who can't keep staff because of the doctors poor treatment of the staff. The doctors and PAs at this office treat their staff kindly and seem to be just like normal people, they speak in layman terms and don't try to throw a bunch of big medical jargon words at you that no one understands. The staff always recognize myself and family and they even sent flowers to my house after my Father passed away recently. That kind of true compassion doesn't exist anymore in doctors offices. This doctor gets A+ scores from me!

Run away from this practice. Front office staff very, very poor in organization and knowledge. Doctors in a hurry bouncing back and forth between patients and interruptions.

He has a terrible "bedside manner" , did not listen to anything I had to say about why I was there except to get refills on my meds and needed bloodwork done. Said maybe 5 words to me. I will look for another PCP. Oh yes, its 19 days later and still haven't heard results on labs.

I had been seeing Dr. Katopes and his P.A. for years. Up until the last 2+ years I was extremely happy with them. The last 2+ years I do not feel he has listened to what I was trying to tell him about my problems. He never went over blood work or my physical results. He would half listen then walk out, come back with a prescription and that was it. No follow up, no other appointments, nothing. One of the P.A.'s told me when I had an allergic reaction (hives) to a medicine he had given me that it was all in my head. Well the itching and the welts on my skin certainly wasn't in my head. That is when I changed doctors, enough was enough. I did love the fact they are there 7 days a week but with this kind of treatment it isn't worth seeing them anymore. I love his nurses and staff but he is not the same doctor he was the years before. Not sure what has happened but something has certainly changed.I use to think he was one of the most caring doctors I had seen in a while.

After seeing four other doctors, Dr. Katopes found my problem with one look at my throat. I totally recommend this wonderful man, he is a true Doctor, he spent time with me and answered all questions, and followed up the next week. I love the staff, the overall experience I give more than five stars.

I went to visit Dr. Katopes today for a workers comp claim for pain in my shoulder. His staff was great, kind, and careful with my injury. Dr. Katopes on the other hand came into the exam room and instantly began pulling on my arm without even saying a word. As he did this he asked if it hurt and I adamantly replied yes as I was holding back the urge to punch him from the intense pain he just caused me. He ordered X-rays and walked out. The entire exchange took about 45 seconds. Upon seeing my X-ray he came in and gave what I assume to be an accurate diagnosis and walked out without giving me a chance to ask any questions and as I tried to ask anyway he just walked off. I understand doctors not having the same bedside manner for workers comp people but that doesn't give them any right to double the amount of pain and discomfort you are already having. If I was a regular patient and not workers comp he would be sued for how he treated me and causing me so much pain. Avoid him at all… costs. He doesn't care about people or if they are in pain or not.

all these bloggers seem to have the same thing happening - he doesn't have any bedside manner and he doesn't care about his patients. Never lets me tell him what's wrong - walks out and never comes back - the young p.a. has a lot to learn.

I love WPMC and Dr. Katopes. I have been to his office several times and the staff is friendly. Thanks for the great care!
