Dr. Michael Joseph Oros, MD

This dr. And his staff saved my life. He is the most kindest compassionate dr. I have ever met. I have been with him for 8 years and i thank him regularly for all hes done for me. I advise anyone who needs mental help to please go to him and do exactly what he says and u will feel better He is the best .

I was terminated from care due to leaving a bad review about the non-responsiveness of the front desk. I tried to reach them for over a week and did not receive a call back until 15 minutes after I left the bad review and due to their mistake I am now fired as patient. I have been a patient for over 6 years and this is extremely negligent on their end. I have never expressed “dissatisfaction” other than the bad review. If you are a patient looking for care please look elsewhere!

I am very fortunate to have found Dr. Oros. He has helped me immensely with the problems I've been having in my life. I have been to two others docs in the NEO-area and Dr. Oros is BY FAR the best. He is probably one of the nicest physicians you'll meet. He was considerate of my feelings and I felt that he genuinely cared about what I had to say and wanted to help me. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who is not only effective and compassionate but is very knowledgeable too.

Dr. Oros is by far “The Best” psychiatrist who has ever treated me! His hour or more long sessions give Dr. Oros time to observe me, and they allow me and both of us to establish a good doctor-patient relationship based on trust, valued information, and respect for each other. I recommend Dr. Michael Oros to Stark County and surrounding communities. He totally revamped my medication so that now I feel like a human being. And verified that I had been given and treated for the wrong diagnosis for years. I have great respect for Dr. Michael Oros who has taken over another retired doctors’ practice and is conscientiously and fairly hiring staff that he needs to have a successful and well respected Psychiatric practice and prescence in our community! This all takes time and a tool on all involved, and i do not believe negative comments about the wait time are profitable. DR. Michael Oros’s time is WORTH THE WAIT. And I challenge anyone who thinks differently to step into Dr. Oros shoes!!

The wait time in office is frequently over an hour, sometimes up to 2-3 hours, and they will try to charge you if you leave to go to another commitment. They require drug testing for all clients, even those who are not there for addiction. The lab they use charges an exorbitant amount for this, and despite the office's assurances that the client need not pay, the lab company bills monthly until the balance is paid. Dr. Oros is combative and unprofessional when clients raise concerns about these policies.

Well thank goodness I wasn't being seen for anger management because I would have been in full blown rage. This practice has numerous issues. (1) Office staff is incompetent. They can be polite but they have no answers for even the simplest questions. I once called to schedule an appointment and I was put on hold for 25 minutes (I looked at my phone's timer) and I gave up. Receptionist did call me back however she couldn't answer if I would get a refill on a simple depression med to hold me over until my appointment. They also do not dress appropriately for an office job. (2) No matter when your appointment is, you will wait hours to be seen. Yes, HOURS! I have waited 2-3 hours past my appointment time and talked with people in the waiting room who have waited even longer. (3) It is obvious that they double or triple book patients to maximize profits. This is completely disrespectful of your patients. It says you don’t care about or value them. (4) Office is dirty and dingy.… (5) The doctor will only prescribes 3 months’ worth at a time so that you must come back. (6) If you leave before being seen, you owe them money so be prepared to wait forever. (7) They take your blood pressure with an automatic wrist monitor which are known to be unreliable. But it's apparent his staff wouldn't know the first thing about using and stethoscope and sphygmomanometer. They also use a cheap scale to take your weight. TLDR: You wait forever to be seen and his staff is incompetent.

Little bit of a wait, but well worth it.
