Dr. Michael Steven Pinzur, MD

Dr Pinzur has a horrible beside manner. He talks ABOUT you to the students like you are not really in the room. He kept denying me that I have RA, OA, and told me the pain I was suffering from was in my head. My husband was flabbergasted at his demeanor. Never would listen to anything I say. I went to him after being highly recommended by my rheumatologist. I am sorry for ever walking into his office. After doing surgery on my foot, I returned to tell him I was having some terrific pain. He refused to take an exay, telling me I needed to talk to someone to control my pain. I later went to see another physician to find out what the problem was. He found that a screw that was put in my foot at surgery had cracked. It needs to be redone. Now I am walking around with continuous pain until I can have surgery again. He is not a very compassionate man at all. He needs to retire!

HE TOOK ALL THOSE XRAYS .AND I HAD SURGERY ON MY ANKLE . AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTH OF LIMPING AND PAIN . i FOUND OUT i DID NOT NEED SURGERY. ONLY PHYSICAL THERAPY.

I am very satisfied with Dr. Pinzur. I have had a problem with my ankle for many years. I came to him and he said I needed a replacement but they had not approved one in the US that he felt would be good for me. I came back a few years later and he remembered me and said "I have the perfect replacement for you." The surgery and rehab went well. He followed up with me many times making sure all was ok. Gave me his personal # and said to call him any time if there are any questions or problems. It has now been 4 1/2 yrs. and I still go in for my regular check ups and he still has me checking back with him if I have any problems, questions or to please let I'm know how I am doing. He is very patient and caring. I would recommend him to anyone. He really saved my ankle.

Had surgery on my foot. Now my problems are ten times worse. He is aloof and abrupt. I am very unhappy. He doesn't have a clue. Sloppy, over worked and abrupt.

My husband and I were very pleased with Dr. Pinzur and how knowledgable he is. He answered every question I had and explained my condition (Charcot Foot) to us in a clear and concise way. He didn't rush me to make a decision about surgery, which I appreciate very much. He is top-notch, and I'm glad I had this appointment. I would definitely recommend him to another patient.

I have many health problems, namely heart disease, OA and RA to name a few. When I needed to find a superb orthopedic podiatrist surgeon, I was directed to Dr Michael Pinzur. After seeing him and also having surgery with him, it was the worst experience I ever had. I have been fortunate to have had great surgeons in the past, but really regret the day I started to consult with Dr Pinzur. He does not seem to listen to you when you are speaking. He does not pay attention to your needs, nor does he relate to all your information given him regarding your past history. He does not take your problems as a unique problem for you as a person. He denies anything you tell him about your past history, saying "who told you that?" This will go on with every bit of information you can give him about your past. I have never had a Dr say things to me, such as "you don't have that", & "Oh, that can't be true!" I have kept very good records, always taking my husband with me to any… appointments and know very well the problems I have had with any of my body parts and also have had very good Dr opinions, and yet he still denies or questions all of my back history! I am sorry to have inconvenienced this man and really feel he should put his profession behind him! Time to go to the retirement field and enjoy life! He is no longer 'caring' or 'attentive' to the needs of patients who have serious concerns. Please do not waste your time to see this man who will not 'listen' to what you need to tell a real Doctor! My visits with him this week sealed my true inclinations about him. I wasted 3 hours of my life for him to confirm what I was already feeling about his 'expertise'! At least I know now for sure!

I have been a patient for many years with complex foot issues requiring surgeries.Dr.Pinzur is an outstanding doctor not afraid to take on the more complex cases others may avoid.

Dr. Pinzur took a caring approach to understanding my ankle problem. My Podiatrist in my HMO did not fit me properly for a good orthotic and surgery was recommended by an Ortho Doctor. I requested a second opinion and my option was Loyola. Dr. Pinzur recommended a new orthotic and a more effective surgery. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

The entire office staff at both his Maywood and Oakbrook Terrace offices were very professional and comforting. Having the residents around made me a little nervous, but over all I am very please with the reconstruction he did on my ankle, and will return to him again. His bedside manner is very rushed, and he speaks more to the student M.D's than he did me, I didn't see him or speak to him the day of the surgery, which I do not approve of, but again he is an excellent surgeon. Just ask him for more time with you, and maybe his mannerisms will improve.
