Dr. Michael Harvey Rivner, MD

I had referral from my neurologist and dr rivner mentioned that I should get a skin biopsy to verify small fiber neuropathy. I would have to come back to schedule it. On.my next appointment he and the student could not remember such a thing. I asked him what the biopsy would do to help. He said it would verify the prognosis. After I agreed to have done. The nurse just left alone and said goodbye. A couple months later I get a explanation of benefits from my insurance saying they will pay 800 dollars of the of the nearly 8000 dollar bill l was just told by dr Rivner that I do have small fiber neuropathy and there's nothing else wrong and that there's nothing more that ca be done. Geeze if I get charged that kind of money I should get more information. Or is he just too busy How's anyone supposed to deal with an illness if they are also worried about how they can pay for it.

I very much appreciate Dr Rivner & his staff. They always do their best to insure I have what I need & if I have additional questions- they answer them. When I call the office, they know who I am and are generally very prompt to call me back- thats important to me. At first they were only performing a test & really couldn't give me much info because it was up to my regular Dr but once I was his patient, I was taken care of. Sometimes they get behind & he gets rushed but I've never been to an office where that doesn't happen occasionally. This is the best clinic by far.

Dr. Rivner did not answer my questions. He did not respond or attempt to diagnosis the areas causing me pain, choosing to focus on completely different areas. His bed side manner was atrocious. I do not care about his credentials, I do not trust this man. His student/fellow was more personable but she did not seem to know what she was doing and her heavy-handedness left me with several bruises.

Dr. Rivner diagnosed me with Multifocal Motor Neuropathy. He was very caring, thorough and educated in his examination. He is highy recommended!!

I have been treated for cervical dystonia by Dr. Rivner for approximately one year now with success and relief of many symptoms. Dr. Rivner has been prompt in seeing me at the office. Both he and his staff make me feel at ease with their concern which I do not feel is a false personna. If I have questions, Dr. Rivner certainly takes the time to address my concerns. I am very pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Rivner and his staff.

Rivner's care is very educated, though he works closely with students so both will do separate exams with you before discussing care issues. His beside manner leaves to want; he always seems to be in a hurry, and there is this general over-all feeling that he disapproves of or regards your visit as inconsequential - a burden of his time.
