Dr. Michael Thomas Saito, MD

I have had this doctor for quite some time, so I do feel like I know him well, and I can say he is patient and kind, If anything I feel like his staff the nurses in front are incompetent because they seem to lose my information every time that I go and I’ve been going for four years.

Dr. Saito treats a diagnosis, not the patient. Our son is a complicated case (although, not to Dr. Saito, who repeats over and over again "These kids...."). He insisted to us that EVERY child with ASD, or autistic, needs to have their symptoms treated in the same order. Not every patient has the same symptoms or struggles. Our copy of the visit even said our son had problems sleeping and a few other things that neither we (nor our son) reported to him. Then again all autistic patients are in need of the exact same treatment, according to him. Save yourself some time and find a doctor who will actually listen to and care about the patient and helping them better their quality of life, than just prescribing their "autistic protocol".

He was rude and careless with my 4 year old daughter that has autism..

Very poor bedside manner and aggressive pediatric assessment skills. Did not observe washing hands before or after assessment either. Squeezed my 7 week olds abdomen with such force it was unnecessary

Love this Doctor!

I had a pediatric stroke when I was 8 and every other doctor thought it was a black widow bite. Dr. Saito recognized it right away and gave me proper treatment. I thank him for saving my life!

 The staff at the Riverside Medical Clinic were very kind and helpful to me with the exception of dr. Saito. He was very rude to me on my visit there just because I couldn't get a hold of some paperwork he had asked me for. He calls himself a professional but the way he treated me was very harsh and he was actually scolding me in rude tone almost the entire time. No lie, I literally got the worst chest pain ever from stressing out with him. PLEASE, save yourself a heart attack in dealing with dr. Saito.

Dr. Saito has been amazing in working with my complicated child who has a series of diagnoses. He has worked very closely with us in finding the appropriate mix of medications that will allow her to function at her optimal ability. We have seen a remarkable improvement in our daughter since we started with Dr. Saito and he has provided referrals to other specialists as well.

Dr. Saito never comes into the examining room without a smile for me, a good hello, and a hand shake. He is thorough and knowledgeable in many areas. As an adult who see's him I can tell he is passionate about his work and we can have many different conversations about other things than my issues. He usually has encouraging words for me when I leave. Keep up the good work Dr. Saito!!
