Dr. Michael Sharon, MD

Doctor speaks down to patients who have poor glucose control, dismisses observations that caregivers may have to report his own agenda and scolding. I happen to be a physician trying to offer some insight and told me to remain quiet as he scolded my dad. I did. Then, he had the nerve to turn to me and ask me if he needed to draw me a picture for me - a board certified physician, licensed in 3 states—to understand a basic medicine concept, I was offended and surprised! Although he apologized, I found his behavior unacceptable. Offering insulting, dismissing observations.

Every time I have an appointment with dr. sharon, the nurse educator, or dietician they are are great to deal with. I never have any issues with the staff when I have any questions or need to make a payment for the billing plan. I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2006 and it was Dr. Sharon who came up with a medication regiment that actually works and keeps my a1c stable. I have another medical condition that he specifically is not treating me for but he keeps an eye on it through my bloodwork especially with the thyroid levels.

Dr Sharon takes a proactive approach to my thyroid pituitary and osteoporosis problems. He diagnosis problems, explains a plan that I weigh in on and writes this down each visit for me so I can keep track of what was discussed. This is special care.

Dr Sharon knew all about the latest medical updates in regards to my thyroid nodules. He will call me at home after hours when reviewing my chart to make sure I am getting treated properly. I have had many endocrine doctors, but none as great as Dr S.

Finally, an endocrinologist that spends time and explains things! He types up a summary at each visit and sends it to my primary doctor.Highly recommend.

Dr Sharon was proactive in caring for my thyroid nodules and bone disease. He tracked down old studies and labs from my prior doctors and developed a plan to treat me that he explained to my satisfaction. I could't be happier!

Very poor bedside manner. Likes to yell.

Dr. Sharon spent 3 hours instructing me about diabetes, diet, and self-care on my first visit. He insisted on weekly followup by diet and glucose level reports. The office personnel were helpful, office itself seems to be under renovation. Wait was not excessive. Charges--High, as anticipated for excellence.

His personality and bedside manner are rough. and I put up with it for a few visits, but the worst is the office manager and the checkout staff. They overcharged us. I am incensed that while they said they offer economical service prices for the out of network HMO patient and I paid that amount on site. but then they charged us full price higher than any other doctor I've been to. and when I try to work with the office manager to resolve, she just sends us to a collection agency. Run the other way.
