Dr. Minh D. Ta is a Board Certified Family Physician and a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. He is licensed by both the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Medicine and the State of Maryland Board of Physicians. Dr. Ta is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and speaks varying languages including French, Vietnamese, and Cantonese. Raised in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Ta completed his undergraduate studies in Health Sciences and Nursing at Vanier College and the University of Montreal. He earned his medical degree at St. Matthews University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Temple University in Allentown, PA. Prior to joining Nova Medical Group, Dr. Ta was the urgent care attending physician at Righttime Medical Care in Silver Spring, MD. An advocate for his patients, Dr. Ta loves to interact with each individual, understand his or her needs, and address concerns accordingly. He practices evidence based medicine, favoring a holistic approach. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Ta enjoying a quiet evening in his backyard, skating in the winter, or taking care of his puppy. And, although his heart is American, his hockey team will forever remain the Montreal Canadians! Dr. Ta believes the best treatment available in modern medicine is prevention.
