Dr. Nancy Dafashy Hanna, MD

While I was receiving care under Dr. Hanna, I found a great confidant. She invited my to stop in anytime even when she was busy. She called my cell to check up on me and to this day she's been the best doctor I ever had. I wish I could have her back as my doctor but unfortunately I moved out of state. I would give anything to get the chance to talk with her again, as I still struggle with life and her support is priceless.

Dr. Hanna is a terrible doctor. After asking me questions about my mental health that were too complex for me to answer, she looked at me funny if I could not provide her with an exact response to my "feelings" and why I felt the way I did. She asked me to answer questions that I came in for HER to help me with. Was not at all helpful in trying to talk about my problems and I felt as though she asked me what was wrong with me and then diagnosed me with exactly what I told her (I felt depressed, therefore depression... I felt unattractive, therefore body dismorphia). After talking with her for over an hour, her ONLY option for treatment was medication. She REFUSED to prescribe me anything besides an SSRI, despite what my previous doctors had diagnosed and given me. She also REFUSED to accept my previous doctors diagnoses or refill my current medications(!!!!) or do her own diagnostics to check if I actually had these specific conditions which I have had all my life. Summary-Did not know… what she was talking about, did not listen when I told her I had tried certain treatments in the past, refused to accept or acknowledge other doctors diagnoses and medication refills, refused to give her own tests to diagnose, refused to CONFIRM previous ADD diagnosis, refused ALL prescriptions (including sleep medicine, anxiety medication, and ADD medication) except any SSRI, despite telling her I did not want to take an SSRI again. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY TREATED AND WANT TO FOLLOW-UP WITH PREVIOUS PROBLEMS. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE SLEEP PROBLEMS, ANXIETY PROBLEMS, AND/OR ADD... SHE WILL NOT HELP YOU.
