Dr. Neely Nicole Nelson, MD

Dr. walked out in the middle of our appointment and did not return. She stated that she would order an ultrasound of my thyroid (which in her own words is "enlarged") but she never did so and her office has not returned my calls. I had to remind her that I wanted an STI test (I wandered through the office halls for 15 minutes until I found her and got a script. I mentioned during my exam that I wanted to be tested, but apparently, she wasn't listening.) She repeatedly pressured me about having children (I wanted to discuss permanent birth control, as I have a health condition that makes it impossible to carry a healthy pregnancy). She told me that I would "change my mind" and refused to discuss it. I'm very concerned that, despite the medical impossibility of me carrying a child, she pushed me to try and get pregnant, and dismissed my concerns. I got the impression that she did not care at all about my health or safety. I scheduled my appointment due to unexplained pelvic… pain. I never had the opportunity to address this pain with the doctor. I repeatedly mentioned that I was in severe pain, but the doctor walked out mid exam and did not return. I was never given an explanation for my pain or the random bleeding I've been experiencing. I have now been in pain for 5 months and I still don't know why. I should have saved the money and the time off. This woman put my health at risk, and her medical negligence continues to impact me. I have never had a worse experience with an OBGYN.

There was no waiting. Dr. Nelson showed concern and acted with further exam. Pleasant person.
