My review is consistent with all of the other people complaining about poor communication at this office.Background:My wife had already undergone surgery for a dangerous melanoma a few years ago. We came to Dr. Robinson at the Dermatology & Aesthetics of Wicker park when another lesion appeared on her nose.Dr. Robinson performed a biopsy of the lesion and promised results in a few days. As you can imagine, we were all stressed. My daughter's wedding was six weeks away and we all worried that she'd have to undergo disfiguring surgery before the big day.When you have had cancer (and life-threatening Melanoma), you expect your dermatologist and her office to respond quickly when a potentially new case emerges.This was not the case with Dr. Robinson and the Wicker Park Clinic.My wife called for her results this morning and was told they had indeed arrived and were sitting in the office computer. Someone would call her soon, the office assured us.The hours ticked by, but we received no call… even after the office closed for the day.Frustrated and angry, we called the after-hours number. No response. We called again. Finally, Dr. Robinson called back to say the test was benign. While we were obviously relieved at the result, the stress of waiting for that call pushed us over the edge. Note to Dr. Robinson and her staff: When a former cancer patient undergoes a biopsy and the results arrive in your office, call immediately, or at least by the end of the day. This isn't just a test result it's a real human being who's life could be altered forever by that note in your computer.
