He saved my dad's life

Dr. Amabile removed a liposarcoma mass from my chest cavity that another cardiac/thoracic surgeon had refused to tackle -- telling me the percentage of my not surviving the surgery was too high to deal with. There are just no words to describe how grateful we are to Dr Amabile, who performed a mitral valve replacement on my son. The surgery turned out exceptionally well, considering it’s a second replacement. Dr. Amabile also cares about his patients and gave us good advise. What was even more reassuring was, at Banner hospital, whenever a doctor or nurse learned that Dr Amabile is our surgeon, unsolicitedly they would tell us that we are lucky, that he was one of the best. From the Inception of the Banner Team suggesting the HAVD/LVAD Process for my mom, Dr. Amabile's name was mentioned as the prospective surgeon. When we met with Dr Amabile because my mother went into the Heart Failure with Milrinone as a last ditch effort to get her to surgery. With the last few days left in my mom's life, Dr. Amabile came in to visit with us and he is the BEST and is the BEST. I can say WOW!!! Dr. Amabile's demeanor when entering and explaining the procedure that was going to be encountering real soon, put us all in the most best possible way with life for my mother. Dr. Amabile came to us that morning and after the surgery was excited to say it was a huge success. It has been almost 1-year. My mom has had a few issues and everytime Dr. Amabile was either notified, consulted or visited my mom in hospital when she goes insisde at times. I would suggest that anyone that has HEART FAILURE be wrapped in the Arms of a Man who is BLESSED BY GOD. His hands are the… most caring hands for each patient. The entire team is great. I was diagnosed with aortic aneurysm. The first time I met Dr. Orazio Amabile, he immediately put me at ease, explained in detail my condition and what he would do to fix it. he answered any question I had and made sure I understood his answers. His patient interaction was exceptional;. and although I had a serious condition I knew that he was the doctor to fix it. He performed the surgery (aortic aneurysm repair and aortic valve replacement) a few days later and everything went extremely well. In fact I was out of the hospital in 4 days which from what I was told is very rare for this type of surgery. The professionalism, gentleness, and constant support I got from Doctor Amabile makes him the best doctor I ever met. I would recommend him to anyone in search of an exceptional cardiac surgeon.

Dr. Amabile is an amazingly gifted surgeon who genuinely cares about his patients and their families. I needed an aortic valve replacement, dreaded the surgery and almost opted not to have it. Dr. Amabile used Echocardigrams to gauge the damage and after a year of watching me closely, he said "it's time". This extra time allowed me to get in better shape and the best possible health prior to the surgery. Dr. Amabile and his amazing staff were knowledgeable, caring, and worked closely with me and my family to assuage any fears prior to surgery and did a lot of "hand holding" post op as well.

He Saved My Life!

I came to Good Sam Emergency under weight and having trouble breathing. After a week of testing, resting, and the doctors being in agreement, my husband and I prepared our children and grandchildren for my triple bypass.Dr. Amabile kept us up to date as my condition improved and explained the surgery in detail when I became strong enough to have the surgery done. By then, my husband and I both trusted him completely. When I went in to surgery, I believed Jesus went with me, along with the surgeon He chose for me. And before I fell asleep I thought of how happy I had been during my 65 years. If there would be no more, well, I'd already had more than most people ever have!It wasn't easy, but Dr. Amabile and my husband working together, enabled me to show improvement on each office visit. As my body healing improved, I was able to work with my cardiologist to be able to start cardio rehabilitation. I believe that Dr. Amabile is a great surgeon that will become even greater, as he is… still a young man. He asks questions of his patients and listens to their answers, and I think he is attempting to learn something with every opportunity.We would recommend him to anyone, but especially to those we love.

When my young and healthy husband suddenly became ill and needed immediate surgery last year, we were blessed to be delivered to Dr. Amabile's care. Besides his remarkable skill and knowledge, he is one of the nicest and most compassionate people I have ever met. I would recommend him to anybody.

when my Dr. Amabile was my dads surgeon his was really great. Even though my dad passed away he was very kind and caring with our family. Heaven forbid i would need to, but if i did i would recommend him to anyone.
