Terrible experience. The surgery left me with a five-inch scar that still hasn't healed after 4 months. My leg is disfigured. The incision got a MRSA infection 2 days after surgery, When I called to leave a message, per the after-care instructions, I found out they were closed on Fridays. When I called back on Monday, they couldn't squeeze me in until Tuesday. I had a lot of pain and angst plus many visits. Find another doctor. Don't go here.

I had a small procedure done in the office and while I was there I asked about getting a spot on my skin. Dr Oswald said he could freeze it off with liquid nitrogen and it would be fast and easy. He said he would do that when I come back to have my stitches removed. I then asked the assistant if I needed to tell the check out clerk about this and was told no to avoid additional costs they can just do this during my follow visit and its no big deal and only takes a few seconds. I came back for my follow up visit and mentioned this procedure to the tech who was removing my stitches and she said I would need to schedule an appointment that my follow up was only for the removal of my stitches. I told her about the conversation with Dr. Oswald and his assistant and she managed to get the doctor to come in and "zap" me - he was in the room less than 30 seconds. To my surprise I got a separate bill for $204.00 to have the Doc zap me with liquid nitrogen. I spoke with… the office manager who basically said she was sorry about the misunderstanding, but we filled this with your insurance and we have no choice but to charge you and we can't write this off if we wanted to and would be in violation of their agreement with BCBS. My impression is their practice is sloppy with managing patient claims and don't see the patients perspective nor cares about their financial obligation "I filed it with your insurance and can't do anything if I wanted to". I've been seeing doctors / practices for many decades, this is a first for me. Be sure to get your facts straight to avoid surprise bills from Dr. Oswald.

This man's behavior in the examination room was truly shocking. The office made a bit of a fuss about a paper gown and leaving on panties and bra, which is not helpful or necessary in my view, but I cooperated, appreciating their attempt at modesty. He came in and without a word of warning, yanked at the tie, then pulled down panties and bra like a nasty frat boy, only looking at the front and only a cursory glance at the rest of my body. He didn't even use the examination table and the light was so poor, I don't know how he could have seen a thing other than my private parts. He made rude, personal and unnecessary remarks about my body. I felt violated. He made me feel like I was disgusting when in fact, it was his appearance that was genuinely slovenly and his bedside manner that was disgusting. I would not return to this doctor if he was the last man on planet earth!

Efficient and friendly . Removed many brown spots at once with freezing and removed skin cancer.

I have experienced both dermatology practices in Bluffton. Dermatology Associates, to me is the positive side of a night-and-day difference. Strongly recommend.

Too fast and does not explain things, cant seem to keep other dr, always a new one, rough and preoccupied it seems. I left after 3 years

I have been prescribed Amnesteem 40 mg. It is a very powerful drug and requires the prescriber and prescribe to be part of a federal program. The first month, my insurance company denied the medication and we struggled with communication and I had to start the program all over again (this involves a monthly blood test, a monthly doctor visit, and a $95.00 co-pay. The second month, I was not given my lab slip and and almost did not receive a prescription. The third month, the lab slip was not signed by the doctor. The fourth month, the doctor's office ran out of pregnancy tests (also a requirement of the program) and actually asked me to go and get one and to pay for it. Huh? This is suppose to be my last month. I find out today that my approval time has run out. I never even saw that letter. So, it's Friday and an appeal has to be filed. The drug company has already sent the appeal to my doctor's office. But.....I doubt that it will be processed by Monday. So.....four… months of side effects for nothing. I'm extremely upset and dissatisfied.

Terrible experience with Dr.Mikell. He brought my 13 y.o. Daughter to tears. He had the worst bedside manner, making irrevelent comments about her weight ( she is not obese ) and acne . I would never recommend him as a provider and will never return there again. Unprofessional and misguided in his assessment. Her issue was stretch marks, which we later learned are not uncommon during adolescent growth spurts . He put none of this in context and simply used the visit to insult her. Never again.
