Dr. Paula Deborah Ravin, MD

I had heard many doctors suggest what they thought was wrong with me and how to "fix" me. They ranged from average to good but their solutions ranged from average to a fair "guess". And then Paula took over. She spent time with me, never hurrying, never acting like she had something better to do. She didn't just give me hope. She showed me why she thought her diagnosis would help me and she helped me make a plan that we both would agree upon. As I eagerly leap into this plan, jumping over all the bad plans I had been given before, I feel I am in good hands at last. I will update this review in the near future with what I believe will be positive results.

Spent over 2 hours with me and my wife on the first visit. Second visit was about 1 hour.

We have never had a doctor spend as much time with us as Dr. Ravin has when meeting with us initially to determine whether or not we had an accurate diagnosis. Once she confirmed the diagnosis, she totally changed the treatment plan to one that was much better and helped improve quality of life for her patient. We would highly recommend her to anyone that wants a doctor who really cares.

She is the best doctor, thorough, caring and knowledgeable. I miss her since she moved to LA.

Dr. Ravin is a gifted and caring physician. She has been right on target over and over again.

She didn't listen to what I had to say and ignored my symptoms. I was on a very high dose of a medication which she decided to take me off of. She did it in one week and I was very ill with withdrawal symptoms. When I called her for help she said "what do you want me to do?" That was the end of her conversation and she didn't even give me some advice or help. When I went to another neurologist he said the dosage I had was way too high and it would have caused the symptoms I described to her. I also found out that I shoud have stoped the medication over a period of months; not one week.

Dr. Ravin provided the most careful and thorough assessment I've ever received. She is communicative and responsive - I came away with a much better understanding of my conditions than before. I feel confident in moving forward with my treatment plan, and I trust that Dr. Ravin will work with me to modify the plan as needed along the way. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ravin since 2003 when I had my DBS was installed. She is a outstanding neurologist with a vast knowledge of all aspects of medicene. Dr. Ravin provides tremendous care of whole body much like a PCP with a specialty. She never ceases to amaze me with her vast knowledge. I have a number health problems including but not limited to :Parkinsons, Heart Disease, Osteo Arthritis, Retinal Disease, Acid Reflux, Sleep Depradation, and Asbestosis. Dr. Ravin is the ideal physician for me.
