Dr. Phi-Van Thi Le, MD

I am very happy with my care with Dr. Phi-Van Le. She knows just exactly what she is looking at and her diagnosis is right on. She does not try to "sell" you on anything. I cannot say enough about her P.A. Noya. Excellent!!!!! I adore her and hope she says with Dr. Le. I have come to depend on her.

She was very condescending and rude to say the least. Everyone in that whole office resembled the same attitude except for her PA which was the only person that gave any concern about the patients. Well, long story short after a two hour wait (bare in mind I was 15 minutes early) she saw me for less than 5 minutes, and after explaining to me that I had a fatty-tissue buil up under my chin that resembled a cysts she just cribbled down some plastic surgeon's number on a sticky note and sent me out, but not before billing my insurance $200+ plus my $40 co-pay.

We have been going to Dr. Le for quite few years....Not only is she great, her brother Dr.Le is also great ....And the new P.A. NOYA so very nice..puts you right at ease....Hope she continues with Dr. Le for a long time.

When I came to see Mrs.Phi-Van Le,I was desperate to see a good dermatologist that can help me. I've had a bad case of staph infection over my thighs for quite some time. Now,when I chose this 'doctor' it was because she was in list of recommended dermatologists from a fellow ER nurse. Unfortunately the others were booked and I wanted a female doctor so I immediately chose her. I also live in Pembroke Pines so I went all the way to Weston via bus just to go and see her. I had called a couple of days in advance and they were able to book me in the very early morning. I still had to wait for quite a while though. So after everything,once I'm called in I wait in one of the rooms. The nurse just enters with a tablet and tells me that the doctor will be in briefly. I'm then greeted with a face FULL of makeup,pure black eyeshadow,the whole works. She was very quick and didn't care to even give me a proper diagnosis. Not only did I have staph but I had toenail fungus(that I still have) and a… bad case of dandruff. She just assumed that what I had was 'acne' and tried to sell and push HER products on me! I was so disappointed. I was trying to inform her of my background and such too but that just went out the window. Not only that but even with my good insurance,I still would have to pay $30 for that and a co payment as well. When I declined she just gave me a useless card to get a generic version of that at the pharmacy which still cost the same price! Needless to say,I never got it. As for my toenail fungus,she just glanced at my feet and said that they were fine. ...Really?I think I know my own body well enough and am more knowledgeable in terms of diagnosing myself! The office staff were very indifferent and were only content when they would these teenage girls buy their makeup all giddily. Like a fellow reviewer said on here,they're just content on making lots of money and makeup!!

Dr. Le suggested biopsy might not be covered by office visit so it will cost extra. Ok, how much I asked. They checked and said 66.00. I paid copay (35) and 66.00 at that time. Have since been billed 44 dollars and 95 dollars. In my mind they deceived me.

Im going to get a second diagnosis just to be on the safe side.

Dr. Le, her nurse, and the associates in the office ONLY concentrated on cosmetic work- if that's what you're looking for, then she might be the doctor to see. I went in because of a suspicious lesion on my leg. I had taken pictures of it before I put a bandaid on. She took a quick look at the pictures, refused to take any bloodwork or even to look at the sore, and promptly diagnosed me as having herpes. She prescribed some medication and then told me that I needed a steroid shot in one of my keloids. I was able to get in to see two more physicians in the following days, get bloodwork taken, and was told that not only was I misdiagnosed, but that Dr. Le should have taken a sample immediately for labs and given me some kind of information on the herpes virus. She did none of that. In my opinion, she is a completely irresponsible physician who concentrates only on cosmetic work (or the money?). I will NOT see her again and strongly suggest that if you need anything other than botox that… you consult another physician.

I would recommend Dr. Le. She was referrred to me by a friend. I did not wait long in her office. She was very professional and quick.
