Dr. Philip Simkovitz, MD

The negative reviews here are incorrect. This is a fine specialist who has helped me breathe. He is thorough. I love how he keeps paper files, so your medical information is not all over the internet. Concerning his demeanor, the doctor is an introvert with a dry sense of humor. If you want razzle dazzle entertainment, this is not your man. I never have to wait long to see him, and he treats me well. This is an analytical, family oriented, good guy. His staff is a panic--lots of fun. I love it that he is on his own and not affiliated with any corporate medical outfits.

THIS(( a-holes)) rating is zero! I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE EVER BEFORE WITH SUCH A RUDE, HOT HEADED ,PHYSCO PATH DOCTOR. YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS,, AND IF YOU BY CHANCE ASK THE SAME QUESTION BECAUSE YOU DIDNT UNDERSTAND,, HE BLOWS A TANTRUM. HE REALLY NEEDS TO RETIRE BEFORE HE HAS A STORKE. HE WAS NO HELP AT ALL. MY BROTHER NEEDED A SECOND OPINION AND WAS TOLD HE WAS THE BEST! HA!!! WHAT A JOKE. DONT EVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR. HE HAS NO PATIENCE,,NO COMPASSION,AND SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS PROFESSION. HE SCREAMED AT US AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS AND SAID HES NOT THE DOCTOR FOR US. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!

Horrible experience at a CT hospital. Extremely hard go get a hold of/get any sort of update. Came in once a day and was never seen again. Completely disregarded the list of medications we provided him for an elderly family member and found out after the fact that he had doubled and even quadrupled certain doses which created other healthy issues.... Did not seem to care at all about patient well being. Extremely disappointed in the care under his watch.

He was assigned to my mothers case and he was the worst doctor I had ever had the displeasure of working with. I’m not asking for a five star personality but he was callus and worse that then unreachable. Nursing staff could not get a hold of him ANY time of day and there for my mother was left In limbo. The nursing staff outwardly complained of his unprofessional and uncaring nature.

I would not recommend Dr Simkovitz. After having asthmatic bronchitis 2 times I felt it was too me to see a pulmonologist. I don’t think in all years seeing physicians I have ever come across a physician as rude and arrogant as he. He has absolutely no bedside manner and my impression was that he only wanted to finish with me and move to the next. I will never see him again.

My mother-in-law has COPD. Recently, she had bronchitis and was not breathing well. She called this doctor and he told her to go to the pharmacy and get Allegra! Really? Allegra when she can't breathe well? Well, she ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung. Never going to him again.

He was assigned to me in the hospital. Would not inform me of my progress or give any opinion on my lung infection. On follow up visit at his office he was rude and sarcastic when I would ask questions. End of visit he yelled at me when I asked him what the paperwork was for he had handed me. This guy needs an anger management course or RETIRE because he certainly has no empathy for sick people

He has been my pulmonologist for about ten years.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Simkovitz for many years..... & we love the man!! He is one of the best Doctor's we know!! He's honest, spends time, we trust him completely!! He's friendly, kind & has a funny dry sense of humor...he always makes up laugh.... a good quality in a Dr. We highly recommend this wonderful Doctor!!

Excellent doctor... Pretty straight forward(right to the point) but excellent Providers you with answers when you have questions, definitely very thorough ! Would recommend.
