Dr. Philip T. Zhao, MD

Dr Zhao is the best. I suffer from kidney stones for several years now. My last episode I ended up In ER 2x. Once in Florida they had no clue misread CT scan and not telling me about the stones and size of stones on my right side where I had pain for over a month. Oh your stones aren’t moving so you pulled a muscle in your back . I visited Dr Zhao he scheduled my procedure within a week and removed ALL STONES , And I have no more pain anywhere. When I tell you he was the best he was the best I would highly recommend him highly. He is professional and courteous and caring explained everything.

So careful and caring. Explained everything clearly. Found a possible problem and took multiple tests over and over to make sure I was safe for surgery. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Zhao removed all three of my kidney stones - two in one kidney and one in the other. It was done quickly since one stone was obstructing drainage and my kidney was swollen. He explained everything in detail and I felt informed and prepared going into the procedure. I just had my stents removed today a week later. Yay!! Dr. Zhao is the Chief of the department and very knowledgeable. Grateful to have had access to the best medical care.

This doctor is a classic case of good grades in college and no social skills. Arrogant and not compassionate to what his patients are going through... I bet these good reviews are written by him.

I don't understand why some doctors are so rude. You devoted so many years of life to becoming a doctor and to "take care" of people, you end up making good money, and then still so rude to patients? I felt he was very condescending and just overall horrible to talk to. He doesn't even take the time to really talk to you or make you feel the slightest bit better. I've visited twice because of kidney stones and I think this will be my last time. He doesn't make anyone feel comfortable at all. If he is gong through life issues, he should go see a therapist rather than take it out on his patients (as it seems a lot of folks were saying the same thing). If I could give zero stars, I would. My advice to him is to gain some compassion and learn how to talk to people. I'm not sure if he is arrogant because he's a doctor but I can firsthand tell you that some of the patients he treats are probably making more than him! ;)

Dr. Zhao treated my stones in a timely and efficient manner. I had a trip planned and he completely accommodated my needs despite his very busy schedule. I can't recommend anyone better than Dr. Zhao for surgery and management of kidney stones!

Very good specialist. Removed huge kidney stone. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.

I visited Dr. Zhao for ureter stones, which were extremely painful, I could not sleep due to urgency to use the bathroom all night long. I was dismayed by his condescending tone, and couldn't believe how hard it was to understand him and his lack of clear cut help. He spoke down to me and acted as though he was too busy for me . This is not the caliber of doctor that I expected. Not recommended due to his lack of concern and social grace.

I went to see Dr.Zhao for kidney stones. Very disappointed with his poor communication skills and bedside manner. I felt rushed and talked down to. His demeanor does not instill confidence to say the least. On the upside, stones were successfully removed.

I visited Dr. Zhao for a ureter stone, extreme pain, nausea, and not sleeping well due to urgency to use the bathroom. I was taken a back by his condescending tone, antagonistic attitude, lack of compassion, lack of professionalism. He spoke down to me and acted as though he did not want to listen to me. This is not the caliber of doctor that I expected. Horrible bedside manner. Needs to learn Compassion and Plus One Customer service. Not recommended. For the female patients out there, would not recommend at all.
