Dr. Prarthana R Gaddam, MD

I’ve seen Dr. Gaddam on two occasions when my doctor was not available. Both visits involved pain and required a visit to urgent care after seeing Dr. Gaddam because my condition did not improve or became worse. The first time, Dr. Gaddam said the burning sensation on my lower lumbar was sciatica and gave me a print out of stretches to relieve the pain. I went to urgent care the next day, and doctor there confirmed dx was shingles. The appropriate treatment for shingles was given. The second and most recent encounter with Dr. Gaddam resulted in dx of frozen shoulder with a print out of stretches, x-ray order, and PT referral. I asked about pain, and she said to keep taking OTC ibuprofen for pain that was reported as a 10 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest pain level. I went to urgent care that same evening, was provided Rx for Ibuprofen 800 mg, toradol injection, and lidocaine patches giving me ultimate relief from the excruciating pain. Another observation is Dr. Gaddam… does not appear comfortable during patient exams. She stands very far away from you and the physical exam (very minimal) is done with apprehension.
