Dr. Praveen Kumar Thangada, MD

He has quick coming to Sequine. Was supposed to have a brain scan for my husband never happened. Drove over an hour and a half to see him. He spent maybe 4 minutes with him. The last time we went to see him his staff does not call the prescription in to pull pak so I didn't ask this time. Will not see hI'm again changing to a different doctor.

We waited three months for an appointment with this doctor. The patient is a disabled veteran in a wheelchair with multiple issues. We were called to come to the office early, which we did. We were forced to wait over two hours and the patient was unable to wait any longer and we had to leave without seeing the doctor. He took patients who had appointments after our appointment and we had to continue waiting. The office staff is horribly rude as is the doctor. He informed us some of his patients wait up to 3 to 4 hours to see him. This was a horrible experience!!

Today was my first visit with Dr. Thangada and I was nervous. My previous Neurologist of 15 years was Dr. Ninen Mathews, one of the best. I may not have heard what I wanted to hear from Dr. Thangada for reasons that were out of his control. But, I am very fortunate to have found such an exceptional physician. I received a thorough exam, he listened and addressed all of my concerns (and I had a lot), he took notes as I spoke and asked me questions, he explained my test results to me in a way I fully understood. When he told me that he was ordering additional tests he explained each one of those as well. We walked out of the room and at the counter he reiterated the reason for the additional test he was ordering and explained the new RX. I then saw him reach for my paperwork and ask the nurse what insurance I had. He then turned and walked away......a few seconds later he returned with samples. 30 seconds before I left his outer office my appointment ended. So, although I didn't hear… what I wanted to hear. I am very fortunate to have found yet another competent neurologist who cares about his patients.

I love that he cares so much about his patients! Funny man when you don't even expect it. That makes you feel comfortable!

We were finally seen 1.5 hours after our appt. time. (This was not at his main Segiun office.) He did not explain the disease that he diagnosed my mother with, had poor bedside manner,, spoke way too quickly about the drugs she needed to start taking, and the 3 tests she needed to have done. Luckily the receptionist was able to recite it back to me in a way that could actually sink in. I can tell he is a nice person, but when you're diagnosing someone with a significant disease, have a little compassion, slow down and let them ask questions!

Staff is very nice,,, I would highly recommend Dr.Thangada and Dr.Roa...

The staff is beyond unprofessional. The staff are immature, ignorant, unprofessional and lie to other professionals. If you don't know the answer to a question simply say you don't know rather than lie to me and then turn around and say you didn't say it. It's a shame you employ such people.

With major concerning health problems, unfortunately, this doctor was very vague and didn't explain things wells, seemed always in a hurry. Uncaring attitude.

Very unprofessional office staff. I called to reschedule an appt and as soon as the receptionist answered she immediately put me on hold without even asking why I was calling. I was left in hold for 10 minutes. When they finally came back to the phone I said I needed to reschedule an appt for the following Monday. She very rudely said all those appts had been cancelled. I replied with I had not been contacted about my appt being cancelled and once again she was rude and said yes they are cancelled. So I asked about rescheduling and was told I would be contacted. Is this any way to run a medical practice? NO! Find care elsewhere, I know I will. I am a certified hospital risk manager. I will not be seen by a provider with such incompetent rude support staff.

I visited the office today and encountered the most incompetent staff I have ever experienced. My appointment was for 2:00 pm and it was 3:30 pm and I was still unapproached sitting in the waiting room. What make it so irritating was I was in for a followup for an MRI. Mind you it took three weeks for the staff to contact me that my insurance company had granted approval. Three weeks earlier, I visited their 410 office and was greeted by the receptionist with..."You know you're late", without even acknowledging that I had contacted their front office regarding my few minutes tardiness due to the huge obstruction of a tree covering the building's facade limiting the view from 410. To add injury to insult they charge me $35.00 for my medical records. Their staff was rude starting with the office manager. Incompetent clerical work as they misplaced records. Unfortunately the office is a representative of the doctors. I would not recommend Dr. Thangada or Dr. Roa to anyone.
