The consultation went well. She told us she would write a official evaluation for our child so we could us it with our insurance and our school to get the appropriate services. Then she became impossible to reach, never returning our calls. Very poor follow up. We never got the written report and had to consult another doctor. A waist of time.

Such an amazing and caring doctor! She has a great rapport with my son. She speaks open and honest with my husband and I but is so very nice. You can tell she cares about her patients and loves her job! We trek all the way from Westchester just to go see her. She is worth it and my son's 98 average in school is a testament to her work.

Dr. Rica Vizarra-Villongco is an exceptional developmental peditrician who absolutely takes the best interests of the patient and the concerns of the parent into consideration when suggesting a treatment plan. She is very thorough and warm when speaking and relating to the children she works with. Her office is another story...cramped, shared space with lots of other drs as its a suite of physicians affliated with the hospital. And the wait to make an appointment is several months. But if its not something time sensitive and you can wait, she is so worth it.

She is excellent. My son is 8yrs old & has several developmental problems. We have been to several Dr.s since he was 18months & the evaluations have not been helpful. Dr. Vizarra-Villongco is very thorough. We have only seen her once, but in that one visit she observed and addressed many of our concerns that other Dr.s would dismiss. For the first time we felt that someone was listening to us & a weight has been lifted. We are confident that we are finally on our way to helping our son. I would strongly recommend her. You may have to wait for an appt., but she is worth the wait. She is probably booked because she is so good.
