Always top marks. I mentioned to him at my visit that his steroid injections of my two troublesome shoulders resulted in complete and durable pain free return to weight room and other athletics. Always takes his time, big smile, involves me in his recommendations and conclusions. Walks me through the X-rays.

I recently had surgery performed by Dr. Scarlett and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From the initial consultation to the post-op follow-ups, Dr. Richard Scarlett, Dr. Mackenzie Dobbins and their whole team were professional and compassionate. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been much easier than I anticipated, thanks to their skill and clear guidance. I always felt informed, supported, and in very capable hands throughout the entire process. After working a 12 hour shift over night I Came in for a possible Torn meniscus. After asking about my injury, he proceeds to tell me that he assumed I would have had more arthritis considering how over weight I was. The comments didn't stop there. Immediately got fat shamed and made to feel pretty bad about myself. Cried in my car after I left the office. (You met me all of 5 minutes. I haven't always been over weight, you have no idea what my life has been like for the past few years & Pretty sure I already know that I need to lose weight) So, you can say I'm not a fan of his bedside manner. But everyone kept saying that short of his bedside manner (which I get now) he is a good Doctor/Surgeon. So, I will put my feeling aside for now and see what he says after my MRI.

Dr. Scarlett performed a total hip replacement for me in May of this year. Prior to my surgery I could barely walk and was in pain all day long. Post surgery the pain quickly went away. I was able to go back to my normal daily activities with no pain and even began exercising on a regular basis again. Absolutely a life changing experience. I highly recommend Dr. Scarlett. On a personal note Dr. Scarlett is as pleasant and informative as any doctor I have ever seen. He is obviously highly skilled at his profession. From my experience I would have to say Dr. Scarlett is an excellent surgeon.

I have been a patient of Dr. Scarlett for many years. He is personable, intelligent, and a highly skilled surgeon. My most recent experience as his patient was ankle surgery for a bad break. The results of that difficult surgery is an ankle well healed with great range of motion and no pain. I have complete confidence in Dr. Scarlett and highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a superior orthopedic doctor and surgeon.
