Dr. Rick Joel Smith, MD

I have had several procedures with Dr. Smith. Septorhynoplasty, mastopexy, breast augmentation. All of my procedures have turned out amazing. The office staff are friendly and professional. Any time I have contacted them with a question they have responded to me within a couple of hours. I’ve had no problems getting an appointment, and usually taken to a room before my appointment time. Once being taken back, I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for the Dr. to come in. He is professional, friendly, and listens to and answer all questions. I have never felt rushed or unheard. I know several people that have hade procedures done by Dr. Smith, and all are very happy with their results. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Rick Smith was such a joy to work with. He listened to all my concerns and what I wanted from my surgery. You can tell he’s been doing this for many years because of how confident and caring he was through the whole process. Dr. Smith is a great doctor. I had a mommy makeover procedure and am happy with the result. He is very patient to explain medical conditions and very caring for his patients. I would definitely recommend Dr. Smith.

He has been more than helpful and his staff are great

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. completely ruined my nose. went in to get my deviated septum fixed as well as the bump taken off. he wouldn't give me anything close to the nose I wanted and I came out looking 10x worse than I did before. my tip points completely to the left and it looks as if I was hit. have never received anything positive about it, only friends saying that they can't believe I actually paid money for this. im so embarrassed and ashamed to have to have this on my face and now have to invest thousands more to correct a job that should have been done correctly the first time. definitely going elsewhere for the correction.

New patient, took afternoon off to get a consult. Appt was for 2pm, drove 45min to see him, arrived 1:45. Takin to room at 2:45pm sat until 3:15pm still no doctor, nothing, i got dressed and walked out. So i wouldnt be late to see my 4pm patient. While i was waiting another one of his patients stormed out and told the recept. That she could no longer wait for him. This Doctor doesnt repect his patients time. My time is just as valuable as his. I would not trust a doctor to work on me if he cant respect me as a patient! I dont care how good he is. Does he plan on paying me for my loss of 4 hours of my time. That says alot about the type of doctor he is. No one has even bothered to call or email me in regards to this either.

I have have 3 treatments of kybella with Michelle over a year and a half. I am totally shocked with how noticeable the results are. I am so happy. I have a profile and the double chin does not show on the sides of my chin in portrait. I am going to have a 4th and final treatment and I am so excited to compare the final results. I would recommend this injectable to anyone who holds onto weight in their face. My face is the first place where I gain weight and kybella has made a very noticeable improvement. Your neck will be swollen and boggy (not painful) for a week and you will be at your baseline. I started noticing results a month after treatment.

In good conscience, I CANNOT recommend this doctor. Sure, he might be okay for botox injections. But I was considering forehead contouring surgery. He told me that he needed to simply "smooth" the bone on my forehead! After getting a second opinion, however, I found that this surgery is much more dangerous than he made it out to be, because if my skull isn't scanned to CHECK whether my forehead bone is too close to my sinuses, doing this surgery could be DANGEROUS. Good thing I found another higher-ranked surgeon that knows what he is doing.

I initially went to a grand rapids surgeon for my lower half (butt/hips) cosmetic surgery and was very unhappy with my results. I then came to Dr Smith to have him correct her work and he did an amazing job. His staff is great and his office/surgical center is A+. I definitely recommend Dr Smith and would absolutely trust him with doing more cosmetic surgery for myself.
