Dr. Risa Huber, MD

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Huber for over a decade. Her professional attitude is a plus especially when one is anxious about the diagnosis, however; it is her care and concern that makes her a great doctor. Always willing to listen, Dr. Huber makes connections between how the patient feels and how the symptoms are presenting in order to make an accurate diagnosis. She gives each patient the time and attention required, which I find amazing in these times of hyper-productivity in the medical field. We are very pleased to highly recommend her!

I have been seeing Dr. Huber as my primary care physician for about 15 years and I think she is terrific. She does good examinations. She listens carefully to my concerns and follows up appropriately. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Huber follows up with lab results quickly and is ready to answer questions and not rush through the information.

I really hate it when the doctor is questioning and has her head in computer. I realize this seems to be more efficient, but I find it extremely rude. She isn't the only one doing it these days.

I have been a patient of Dr. Huber's for many years. I have always had positive experiences at each visit. She correctly identified a serious condition, as well as treating more routine matters. She has a great bedside manner and ability to explain things clearly. My 17-year old daughter also liked Dr. Huber. I think her dual specialties are great for older teens transitioning from the pediatrician.

My daughter and I have been a patient of Dr. Huber for well over ten years. When I got married, my husband became her patient as well. We drive from Baltimore City to Woodstock to see her even though I am sure we could find a closer doc. I have always been seen when I needed to be seen. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes upon arrival at her office. I feel that she gives me all the time I need and she pays good attention to what I am saying. I have had no negative experiences with Dr. Huber and I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Huber is not a bad doctor, BUT she is not an excellent doctor, nor even a good doctor due to her practice. I had an education that surpasses her education in years, yet she talks to me as if I have a 3rd grade education. Okay, I get that as many of her patients may be in that category. My real deal with her is her service abilities and her staff. As many reviews have stated, her staff are horrible. She also has let too many patients on, and her waiting list for a regular office visit is too long. When I was so sick and needed to get in that day, she was booked until 5 days in, this has been the case 3 times for me, and I have had to go to the ER or Urgent care. If you need anything beyond a regular visit, you have to wait 4 months!!! That is not okay. In addition the staff is so rude and condescending. They think they are above everyone and have the right to be rude and treat you poorly. This is not okay when I am wasting my time to even come in and go to the office, I… should be treated with respect. I am giving them business and acting politely even though I am sick, they could do at least the same in return, but they don't. They are rude and often talk about patients once the door is closed, the problem.. the doors and walls are very very thin and you can hear everything they are saying. I have wasted too much time with these ignorant people and will soon be finding a respectable office.

I had Dr. Huber as my primary care doctor after I moved to Woodstock area. I recently found another good doctor and I wished I had left earlier.Dr. Huber is knowledgeable, but was rude and unfriendly to the patients. She didn't pay attention, didn't listen well, and was not professional either. One time she came to see me and she seemed very angry and emotional. That was when I decided to leave even her clinic was the closest to me.I heard she arguing with (blaming) her staff too. I felt bad for the people working there.The waiting time in the office was very long too.Anyway, I am glad I switched. Nobody should be treated the way she treated a patient.

Some of the staff members are unfriendly and nasty. I am tempted to leave the practice because of them.

I have been going to see Dr. Huber for several years now. I get honest direct and streight forward answers and suggestions from her. She pushes when I need pushing and she is one of the most understanding doctors I have ever had. As far as having to wait a little, I could be doing worse. I have called in a crisis and been seen right away! Not many doctors will do that for you. (go to the emergency room) The office staff has faxed information for me and stepped up to the plate countless times. I have also had the pleasure to see Dr. Bowen once or twice and been treated as if she were Dr. Huber.
