Dr. Rita J. El-Hajj, MD

I innocently trusted this physician expertise for a few years pertaining to my thyroid. She treated me aggressively and caused me to have severe side effects from the high levels of thyroid replacement drug. I became extremely sick after she increase my dose for the 5th time in 2 years. I suffered severe heart palpitations with chest pain. I spent many nights in the ER, sent to see multiple cardiologists and all alone she insisted it did not pertain to the thyroid replacement medicine. After a 2nd opinion by an Endocrinologist, he informed me I was wrongful diagnosed, my thyroid was normal and it was being overdosed. It took me two years to feel normal, the palpitations, chest pain, night sweats, foggy concentration all diminished. Please be aware, she is dangerous, she sent me to cardiologists and wanted them to treat my symptoms caused my her overdosing/ overworking my thyroid. I reported her to the medical board and CDC. I highly recommend you be extremely leary of her expertise, I… wish I was warned. One of my worst experience in my life.

The Doctor spends time with you and explains everything that needs to be said..She makes you feel at ease, especially when you always get a little afraid of what she is going to say..I have been with her for years and she had diagnosed another problem I had to my surprised..Can't say enough about her ...

Extremely thorough, in depth examination. Asked detailed questions about personal and family medical history. Took extra time to explain the background of the disease and medicines used to control it. Provided clear, concise guidance for action steps in the future.

Dr. El-Hajj is a wonderful doctor. I highly recommend her if you are having thyroid issues of any kind. I felt very comfortable speaking with her about my symptoms and the possible outcomes. One of the very best in the field of endocrinology.

Very rude first meeting Dr. El Hajj she came in the room without speaking, then she was talking to me like I was criminal that committed a crime. But one thing that she did help me with was new insulin and that was it I believe that I will see another diabetic doctor that is more helpful and knows how to talk to their patients like adults not like little kids.

She pays attention to what is going on with me and with my other doctors say. I had been to many other Doctors until I found her. She takes care of three of my medical conditions and I have to say she does it extremely well. She took me off medicines that I was on by other doctors. As I said; she actually does doctoring, more than most.
