Dr Sobel is one of the excellent doctor, he' s very open to talk to, he pays attention to everything carrying for his patients.i m so fortunate to have him. Thank you Dr Sobel.

Dr. Sobel has good bedside manner. He is very nice. However, after spending or shall I say wasting 1.5 years under his care I have come to realize a few things about him. He has a big goofy smile that can make you feel at ease but his competency level is seriously lacking. I had two complete IVF failures under him. My embryos never made to transfer. MY second IVF worst then first no fertilization of 20 eggs. The first time had 10 eggs fertilized. Then he tells me that the problem is my eggs rather then admitting the problem was his protocol . He commented I may need donor eggs. Then a few weeks later he calls me all happy saying he talked it over with his staff and they created a new protocol for me. When we challenged him that his new protocol did nothing to address the egg quality issue is when we realized he is nothing but a used car salesman. He just wanted another 12000 from us. Then we went to doctor Glasser on main line. He called the protocol from the 2nd IVF a disaster and… said no donor eggs needed. We immediately went into a IVF round with him. Now I am 21 weeks pregnant. Not until I dealt with a real competent doctor did u truly understand the clown show that Abington's practice is. Save your time and money stay away!

Highly recommend this practice. Receptionist are the only con. Not friendly or professional.

My appointments with Dr. Sobel were great, he can make my fear vanish, and cheer me up! I feel comfortable with him, he's so kind and friendly. Thank you Doctor for everything :)

I can't speak of his success rate but I found Dr. Sobel to be very easy to talk to and really listened to what I had to say. I am very much aware of my fertility issues and had been working with a reproductive OBGYN before seeing him. He took the time to talk to me about my past experiences and was very thorough in his diagnosis. Unfortunately would health insurance won't pay for reproductive endocrinology so I've had to stop seeing him until I exhaust my options with the OBGYN, which my insurance will pay for.

Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant under this doctors care for the last six months, his follow ups have been pretty poor and I am still not pregnant

My husband and I used Abington Reproductive Medicine to have a child in 2009. We would like to do a frozen embryo transfer with our frosties, and we were happy to be able to see someone closer to our home in Paoli. The appointment started out poorly when we needed to wait 1 1/4 minutes to see the doctor, but I can deal with that. It became more frustrating that the office didn't send our files. Because our last appointment was in 2009, we weren't converted to electronic records. This meant that they couldn't answer questions regarding how the embryos were frozen. When I asked about the procedure, Dr. Sobel described it and then looked at me like I had two heads when I confirmed that they no longer use injectable progesterone or estrogen. Even though he wasn't there in 2009, this was Abington's standard protocol then, and he should know that. Bragged about the success rate with frozen embryos from donor egg. This was ironic because Abington Reproductive's SART data (livebirth… rate) has been very poor since 2009. The last year their livebirth rate was half of the national average, and half of what it was when we chose Abington in 2009. Google SART to check for yourself.We asked about some of our concerns about a second pregnancy, and he indicated that we needed a maternal fetal medicine consult and then had us leave without script or a game plan for the future. While Dr. Sobel is very collegial, we would NOT be going back to him or Abington if they didn't have our embryos. Regretfully, they do and we're stuck.

He was able to give me a mirical thru the Donor Egg Program. I was scared but his nurses held my hand all the way thru. Went to 2 other offices for infertility and this office was the best!

Dr. Sobel has helped us reach our dream of parenthood! He provides results in a compassionate and caring manner. We just loved him and the entire staff at Abington Reproductive.

He's a great doctor. He really cares about his patients. He takes time with them. He did several surgeries for me, each time the nursing staff always commented on what a great guy he is. I recommend him often.
