Dr. Robert Allen Farkas, MD

I took my father who is in the last stage of his life and this doctor said that he had read my father's medical records and he had no issues with his kidneys. Then when I came home I went to the pharmacy and it turns out that he did not prescribe anything. Then later I read my father's medical records and it turns out that he had acute kidney failure. Also, this doctor said that my father needed to see a good Internist. Turns out that he is certified in internal medicine himself but did not disclose it to us.

Was referred for protein in my urine. Had a complete review and Dr. Farkas explained my problem in a complete manner. I am an RN and some MDs don't explain so much thinking I am an RN and have the knowledge. He was very pleasant and respectful. I was pleased with my initial visit and setting a treatment plan together.

I feel proud to have a nationally renowned nephrologist treating me. Despite his fame, he treats people respectfully.

MY DAD WAS RECENTLY HOSPITALIZED FOR CARDIAC SURGERY. HE HAS A HISTORY OF A HIGH CREATININE THAT HAS HELD STEADY AND HAS NOT CHANGED IN SEVERAL YEARS. THIS DR WAS ASKED TO SEE MY FATHER PRIOR TO HIS SURGERY. HE WAS EXTREMLY RUDE TO MY ELDERLY PARENTS. HE TOLD MY MOTHER IT WAS RIDICULOUS TO PUT MY FATHER THRU THIS SURGERY. THAT HE WOULD PROBABLY DIE ANYWAY.BEFORE IT WAS OVER HE HAD MY POOR MOM HYSTERICAL. MY FATHER IS 85 YEARS OLD BUT IS OF VERY SOUND MIND AND HAD DECIDED FOR HIMSELF THAT HE WANTED THE SURGERY.I AM A RN AND HAVE BEEN FOR 20 YEARS. MY SISTER IS ALSO A RN.IN ALL MY YEARS OF PRACTICE I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE SO UNCARING AND UNPROFESSIONAL.I UNDERSTAND DOCTORS HAVE TO TELL YOU ALL THE THINGS THAT CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG BUT HE WAS VERY BELLIGERENT, USING PROFANITY AND WAS SPEAKING SO LOUDLY THAT THE NURSES AT THE SATION HEARD THE ENTIRE THING AND REPORTED IT. I WOULD NOT EVER RECOMEND THIS DR FOR ANYTHING. MY FATHER DID HAVE THE OPEN HEART SURGERY. DID VERY WELL KIDNEY… FUNCTION IS NOW BETTER THAN PRIOR TO SURGERY. THANK GOODNESS WE ALL HAD THE SENSE TO NOT FOLLOW HIS SUGGESTION TO JUST LET HIM GO. HE WILL NOW HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE HIS GRANDKIDS GROW UP NO THANKS TO THIS SO CALLED DOCTOR.
