Dr. Robert E Ivy II, MD

This doctor came very highly recommended however he is rude and always rushing with patients, spent less than 7 minutes with this patient.

DR. Ivy is Phenominal!First off I want to say that I never forget a Dr's bedside manners and his are top notch!Second off,Dr.Ivy is the best hand Surgeon around!I research my Dr's very thoroughly bease I have so many chronic illnesses and he is definately the best g and surgeon and dr.I also keep my dr's for life once I find them until they retire,then I cry!Anyhow,bottom line is this,I had carpel Tunnel surgery 15 years ago(R/L) and he did a phenominal job!It's hard to find a good surgeon that will fix that for life!I remembered how good he was and so yesterday I went back to him because I was having other hand issues and pain.Spot on,he disguised me with Tendonitis!Something I would have never thought of!He gave me a cortisone shot,and was so gentle,it hardly hurt,he asked me if I was ok.First off,he was so kind to say our first plan of action. Is we usually treat with a cortisone shot,would you like to have one today?Phenominal bedside manners,the nurses were so kind as well!With… all this said,I hope if you are having any kind of hand problems,I hope you will go see Dr Ivy,You will not be dissapointed!

I have been to Dr. Ivy numerous times due to problems dealing with circulation in my hands. He is absolutely the most caring doctor I have ever seen, and he is an expert in his field. He never runs out of energy, and always takes the time to listen to the patient, and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond to help his patients and tries to look at the positive when the patient may be having a difficult time. If more doctors were like Dr. Ivy, the world would be such a better place. He is awesome!

Liked the doctor very much. Impossible to reach a person to make OV and outpatient test appointments. Finally hung up after waiting on hold for 15 minutes to make first OV appointment. Called satellite office (Jefferson City) where they were quite cooperative and set up my appointment with no problem. Called main Ortho Tennessee (KOC) number to schedule a nerve test and had to leave a message. Got a call back 24 hours later. Had to change the date so called again but gave up after 6 tries of reaching no one, not even a voice mail. The nerve test scheduler does not have a direct numer so the operator has to forward the call. In each of my 6 phone calls, I let the phone ring many times but the operator never answered and that phone apparently had no voice mail since it never came on. What if I had had surgery and developed a problem - how would I reach someone who could help. Although I am pleased with Dr. Ivy, I will find another doctor because of the total inefficiency of the… office staff.
