Although bureaucracy makes the “ride very bumpy” for clinicians at every “intersection”, Dr. Robert Gelfand “revs” up his patients “engines” with “caution” and “reflection”. With appropriate treatment “cycles”, Dr. Gelfand "drives" his patients in the right "direction". This is authenticated with p”ride” based on a year of office visits and infusions to perfection.

I recently e.mailed Dr Gelfand and out of my ignorance about blood tests, inquired about the extent of the results. Dr Gelfand not only took the time and patience to respond to my inquiry, but he did it in such a caring and satisfying way, it put me at ease and informed me of what happens when blood tests are taken. Praise to Dr. Gelfand and his wonderful staff. I couldn't be in better hands.

One of the many obstacles for patients with debilitating and chronic illnesses can potentially be the thoughts of disease progressing. As a single parent with a special needs child, I can attest to that and have recently raised my question with Dr. Robert Gelfand who is exceptionally skilled with merging realistic and honest facts of a condition along with a positive and optimistic spin. What remains distinctive with Dr. Gelfand is that his physician attributes, extensive knowledge in his field and emotional intelligence are correlated with his upbeat persona and magnetic motivation to meet specific patient goals and objectives. A superlative way to conceptualize a patients’ treatment plan is to use existing data and up to date research information while taking into account the patient’s perspectives over a continuum of time. I commend Dr. Gelfand for going the extra mile to understand the multi-layered viewpoints and needs of his patients despite the constraints and challenges… providers face in today’s ever changing healthcare environment.

Dr. Robert Gelfand is a very knowledgeable, wise and perceptive provider. His wide array of hematology and oncology experience coupled with his par excellence bedside manners make him a "star physician". During my initial consultation and first appointment today, Dr. Gelfand took the time to patiently answer ALL of my questions with insight, care and confidence. This rating does not adequately capture Dr. Gelfand's abilities and strengths. I will be following up with Dr. Gelfand for my future treatment needs as I have total confidence in his decision making and judgment. Inevitably, a five "star" rating is an understatement for this exceptional MD that provides a service that is one of a kind.

Dr. Gelfand provides a safe environment Where On-Going Treatment patients such as myself, let's me to forget for that small portion of the day about my diagnosis. He always reminds me to smile and gives endless encouragement, inspiration and an extraordinary blend of optimism, guidance and support. The entire staff has directly contributed to my sense of self and the ability to find Hope and determination within myself. I can not thank Dr.Gelfand and entire office for all they do to ensure a pleasant experience.

Dr. Gelfand treats his patients with great compassion and understanding. He is extremely knowledgeable and spends time explaining the procedures and answering questions. A very fine doctor.

If you are unfortunate enough to get cancer, you will thank the day you got referred to Dr. Gelfand. He is kind, personable, knowledgeable, humane, and fully thorough in his treatment and attention to you. I lived through 6 months of chemotherapy in his office and was always so well attended to.

he's a wonderfully compassionate, caring man. He and his staff take time with you, remember you, and treat you like a person. It makes a difficult process a little more bearable.

Priceless in this day and age to have an old fashsion doctor who knows his stuff and how to treat you has a human being.
