Dr. Robert Joseph Schramm, MD

Dr. Schramm does not have any bed side manner. His office is run in a disorganized manner and his office manager Ingrid is an obnoxious bully with zero people skills who belongs in another field, certainly not one dealing with patients who are immunocompromised. My experience was high pressure from the start. I had a 10:30 appointment and I when arrived (there was no one waiting in the waiting room) they said I had a 2pm which was incorrect. They kept me waiting atleast 45 minutes. When I finally was called in Dr Schramm asked me many questions and when I asked him a question he seemed irritated, almost annoyed. He had his two office managers join the meeting neither of whom was a nurse. They pressured my Dr. from Boston to send medical files which where from over 30 yrs of records and when they did not receive them within 24 hours they pressured me. I did not want to switch IV companies and they insisted I did saying the one they used was superior even after I explained I was… comfortable with my nurse who I have had for several years and did not want to change companies to start with a new stranger in my home. Being a snow bird everything was running smoothly between S Fla Dr and Boston until Fla Dr retired. I was randomly given Dr Schramm as a name to call because he was taking new patients and close by. Dr Schramm and his office manager Ingrid insisted on controlling everything with regards to my case taking it away from MGH in Boston which I did not want. They have no respect for the patient’s feelings or needs. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

Really unimpressed to say the very least. I had a 915 appointment and was quickly ushered into a room. After an Hour of sitting there alone, I finally went out to ask what was taking so long, noting that I was the ONLY PATIENT IN THE ENTIRE OFFICE. No one had bothered to tell the Dr. I was even there. Once Dr. Schramm finally appeared he spent most of the time trying to sell me on some line of lotions...Take some samples....blah blah blah. They ran every blood test they could to determine the cause of my sudden intense itching. I got the results from the Lab on Thursday night. I heard from them on WEDNESDAY the following week to schedule a follow up visit. When I asked if the visit would entail anything other than the Dr. telling me that I'd have to go get shots weekly for 5 years, the nurse said she have to find out. If it was going to be different she'd call me back. Can you hear the birds chirping??? Thank good ness for a great Primary and Dermatologist, as they were able… to help. This "Allergist" has become a salesman, in my humble opine.

Best allergist in Boca Raton. Has a very welcoming staff! Front desk is always willing to help out whenever needed. Would refer Dr. Schramm to anyone. Came in as a walk in and new patient due to being severely sick and the office staff was able to figure out a way to fit me in and help me out.

Dr. Schramm is an excellent doctor and really takes his time with his patients. He makes sure that the patient knows everything and anything they want to know. I would recommend him to anyone! The office staff is also friendly and helpful. Excellent office overall.

Too many unnecessary tests and when you ask why, no answer so because you need them . So I end up with almost $1000 bill from lab because my insurance deemed it investigational. And when you ask the office why, no answer

My daughter (10) and I both go to Dr Schramm. I've been his patient for 8 years. My dsughter fir 5. He saved my life numerous times when I had upper respiratory infections and other illnesses. The staff is like family to us. Modine, Tia, Ingrid are all angels. If there's an emergency, they tell you to come in right away. I recommend Dr Schramm for all your allergy and pulmonary needs!

The doctor is great. Tends to run a little behind. Courteous staff they are very friendly. The only thing I don't like is the office is reception area is not friendly to wheelchair bound patients. The sign in and out areas are way to tall and you have to reach over. If the girls are sitting down at their desks they can't see you unless they are standing. Wish they would update the decor looks very run down. They should have at least one girl set at each window facing them directly to have better access to the patients.

In the midst of a sea of well qualified south Florida physicians, Dr. Schramm truly stands alone. After copious amounts of doctors visits, it's easy to get the impression that you as a patient are just a set of symptoms and another diagnosis, yet not at doctor Schramm's office. He is a warm, caring physician whose bedside manner is superb and knowledge of his field is second to none. Each visit is as pleasant as the next. I am greeted promptly upon entering and subsequently seen shortly after. The staff seem to be a collection of skillful nurses and medical assistants who are always courteous and helpful. It is obvious, even upon ones first visit, that Dr. Schramm cares deeply for each and every patient, as he has recalled each and every detail of my visits and is prompt in working towards an effective treatment plan just for me. Would I recommend this physician? YES! If you are looking for an allergy and immunology specialist, then look no further.

Dr. Schramm is a good man. He spent more time with me than any other physician ever has and was kind enough to answer any and ALL of my questions. He is highly qualified in his field with a double board certification whereas other allergists in Boca rarely have a single board certification. His staff is professional, courteous, and understanding so I have absolutely no complaints with them either. I can clearly recall Dr. Schramm pressuring a pharm rep into providing his office with extra samples which he immediately passed on to an underprivileged family who was unable to afford the proper prescription medication. If you're looking for a physician who truly cares about his patients then Dr. Schramm is the man for the job.

Prepare to wait even to speak with a receptionist. Dr Schramm's staff is too busy making appointments for pharmaceutical reps to bring in lunch for the office. They spent several minutes finding a day they had open for lunch to be brought in. Apparently they get so many free lunches, they have to schedule them in. They even have preprinted handouts for the reps on what their favorite freebie food is and where to get it. Dr Schramm runs his business in a similar manner. It's all about getting your bill just as high as they can run it up. Prepare to pay for prescriptions for symptoms you didn't say you had and tests you probably don't need. Those prescriptions might just happen to be for medications from those same reps who bought him the free lunch. Isn't that a coincidence?
