After cancer treatment, active surveillance indicated a CT scan was required. His office failed to secure pre-authorization from insurance, and he failed to answer messages after several days. Scan had to be cancelled. The struggle to resolve the issue, along with having to cancel necessary test, was extremely stressful. Had to find another provider. His skills are OK, but not worth his incompetent office staff. Find another Dr.

From emergency room, he was recommended and very professionally and with great practical conversation diagnosed and proposed surgery for my kidney stone. Found and removed a bladder cancer that would not have been found potentially for years. Appts always on time and beside was pro but courteous and did not rush my questions. Great doctor, high recommendation by me

After my mother had surgery for cancer spots on her bladder, she complained for weeks about pain. Her urologist's nurse dismissed it and refused to let her see the doctor. When questioned, the doctor said "what do you expect, she's 80 years old". We dropped that doctor immediately and went to Dr. Ferraro. He examined her on the first visit and found she had an external rash caused by medication. He gave her a topical cream and the rash (and pain) was gone in a few days. He has been wonderful with my mother, explaining the pros and cons of more surgery and keeping on top of any future problems. At first I found him very clinical without much of a bedside manner. Over the past months he has warmed to my mother and is very solicitous of her. She trusts him and so do I.

good doctor, however,would like to see him during follow up visits(usually have to be seen by his PA)

What a total waste of time and money.
