Takes his time to listen to your concerns and symptoms. Gives you a thorough exam .gives you a treatment plan. I moved across country and called him he recommend a doctor and a treatment to ask the new doctor about for my wife. Awesome

My son is mentally and physically handicapped and we've been taking him to see Dr Atwell for years for serious kidney stones that he has to be hospitalized for and physically removed. We’ve had a lapse in going for a couple of years but will be going back. Dr Atwell is one of the most kind, pleasant, honest and knowledgeable doctors we have, and we have a lot. As a matter of fact my husband and I both have been his patients after we saw what a good doctor he is. I highly recommend him if you need someone in his field.

Dr. Atwell has been treating my grandmother for a year and a half. Every time I’ve gone to appointments with her he is dismissive, rude and doesn’t care about her concerns or questions (mine either or even bothers to answer, literally just walks away). You are VERY lucky if you get to “talk” to him for two minutes, I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that. This doctor doesn’t care about the patient or helping them, just about the bottom line (billing insurance and making that money). Could say so much more but don’t want to write a novel, so in summary, stay away if you are actually looking for medical care and to be treated with respect.

waiting time depends on time of day, and if you are a work-in. Dr. Atwell spends as much time with a patient as needed, so sometimes the time runs over; however...you get your quality time and I have never felt slighted.

He is always in hurry, doesn't like to be questioned , his office always misplaces urine sample to be sent to the lab so I have to go there twice, not good doctor for kidney stones problems.
