Dr. Robina Yu-Chu Moen, MD

I had Robina for my doctor for 6 years. During this time I suffered from a variety of symptoms: constantly runny nose and inflamed sinuses, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, fatigue, low immunity (I would catch everything going around). I asked on 5 different visits with Robina that I have testing for allergies. Robina said she did not think I had them. She referred me to a sleep specialist who diagnosed me with sleep apnea and put me on a C-PAP machine (btw, I'm 34, female and weigh 118, not typical for sleep apnea. The C-Pap tech. told me he thought I was misdiagnosed). Then I started having these extremely painful attacks in my abdomen that would last 8 to 10 hours. I had the worst attack while on a flight to Thailand for my honeymoon. On my return, I saw Robina and she told me I was having a panic attack. For 8 hours. (Btw, I am a therapist and have 10 years experience working with anxiety disorders.) I asked her to run some tests and once again she said she did not think that… it was necessary. Then I quit my job and had to go on my husband's insurance at Kaiser. When I gave my history, my new doctor ran several tests including the allergy testing I had been asking for years. Turns out I am allergic to wheat (who knew). I stopped eating all wheat and gluten and all my IBS, sleep problems and runny nose all went away and have been gone ever since. I suffered needlessly for years because Robina's opinion was that I didn't have any allergies. I didn't go see her for her random opinion. I went to see her for her to practice medicine. The worst was that the attacks I had been having were acute Pancreatitis, which can be fatal, unlike panic attacks. The ultrasound reveled gallstones as the culprit. If I had stayed any longer with Robina Wong, I could be dead. If you think you have something serious, do not got to Dr. Wong. It might be her random opinion that it's not serious.
