Dr. Roger C Sealy, PhD

I've seen almost a dozen therapists and counselors, including a few psychiatrists over the years, with family counseling after my parents divorce, individual counseling in middle and high school, and finally on my own as an adult, and no one has helped me like Dr. Sealy. The core of his practice has been helping me identify my thoughts as just that, thoughts, and finding my own authentic voice as a person, despite the trauma I've experienced. I'm a recovered alcoholic as well, and different treatment, that is the 12 Step model, has been integral in keeping me sober giving me the tools to rebuild my life. That, along with a lot of other spiritual work has helped me to do just that. But the grounding to all this, the thing that has helped me make sense of the different courses of action I've chosen to keep emotionally fit has been my work with Dr. Sealy. He's the calm, reasoning voice that's cleared my head many times over. I've recommended a handful of friends who are still… seeing him regularly, and I'd recommend anyone else who's looking for help. He's a good man, and I count myself lucky to have met him.
