Dr. Ron I Riesenburger, MD

Can't recommend him enough - he is honest, transparent without being alarming and has a calm and comforting demeanor. I spent 3 months in agony before my primary care Doctor recommended that I see Dr. Riesenberger. My surgery and recovery went exactly as he and his team described it to me. Tufts staff were great. I am on the road to recovery and couldn't be more grateful.

Dr. Riesenburger was honest from the first visit. He said the first three days in the hospital after my L4 - L5 spinal fusion with disc replacement would be bad and they were - Lots of pain. I was discharged and did in home PT. I was back to working Part time within 3 weeks (mostly email) and back to work FT within a month of my surgery date. I have heard other horror stories about the surgery I had, but not this doctor. He's awesome!! I can't say enough about how great my outcome is. Before surgery I was unable to walk around the grocery store without pain and now, I am pain free.

I had tried P/T, accupuncture, cortisone injections and pain meds with little or no relief for 12 years. I had immediate relief following the surgery and continue to me amazed at how well I am doing. No leg pain when I stand still. It's totally gone.

After six months of debilitating back pain from severe lumbar spinal stenosis and no improvement with physical therapy and steroid injections, Dr. Riesenburger performed an L3, L4, L5 laminectomy. Now two months post-op I remain pain free and am regaining strength with outpatient physical therapy. From pre-op coronavirus testing through post-op recovery and hospital discharge after an overnight stay, the nursing and ancillary care at Tufts was outstanding.

Dr.Riesenburger is a miracle worker! I had severe spinal stenosis and an incredible amount of pain. Seven weeks after surgery and most of my pain is gone! Looking forward to physical therapy and acomplete recovery! Thank you Dr. Riesenburger!

My wife and I hold utmost respect for Dr. Ron Riesenburger, not only as a physician of neurological surgery, but as a kind and caring human being. Upon our initial visit to Dr. Riesenburger's clinic, at Tufts Medical Center, we knew immediately we were connected to an outstanding hospital, a considerate and helpful staff, and an exceptional, trustworthy, and gifted neurosurgeon! We were so confident in Dr. Riesenburger's expertise and competence, as he explained his thoughts and shared his diagnosis with us. Through careful, unhurried, and thorough consideration of my x-rays, MRI, his examination of me, and listening to me, as I shared my symptoms, Dr. Riesenburger concluded I was in need of Cervical Radiculopathy surgery. He explained that I had severe nerve compression, (C7 and C8), which needed to be addressed, to help relieve pain, numbness and weakness, radiating down my arm and hand, noting atrophy in my hand had already set in, which contributed to my compromised fine motor… difficulties. He was able to review the results of my EMG test, which reach his office the next day, following my appointment. His office called me, telling me Dr. Riesenburger would connect me to a colleague in his group, once I was fully healed from my surgery, as the EMG results indicated I had median neuropathy at my wrist and ulnar neuropathy at my elbow. Dr. Riesenburger reiterated the need when he meet my wife after my surgery, and again, during my post surgery appointment. We welcome his input and concern that I am connected to the best care, ever! My surgery went well, the scar is virtually invisible! My wife and I highly recommend Dr. Riesenburger, and are honored, and blessed,to have been a patient of him! Dr. Ron Riesenburger is dynamic, compassionate, dedicated, and a highly skilled physician! We both know we were in the right hands when we chose him! We are forever grateful to him!

Dr Riesenburger has a very comforting manner, takes time to explain everything fully and instills confidence in his patient. my surgical procedure was very successful in every respect and turned out even better than I expected. everybody that I dealt with through the whole process was capable, compassionate and very professional.

Dr. Riesenburger performed spinal fusion surgery on my back three months ago. Since that time I have seen him three times, and each time he has been the model of professionalism and patience. Dr. Riesenburger carefully listened to my situation, and thoughtfully prescribed follow-up treatments.
