Very Kind, knowledgeable, caring, thorough and empathetic staff.

I saw Dr. South one time, he came in the room for about 3 minutes. Did not listen to me at all and said “great you qualify for 2 medications that I have! He then began pushing medications on me. I tried the samples he gave me but they unfortunately did not work. I reached out to their office several times & my PCP did as well. The nurse finally called me back after a month of calling. I explained to the nurses that the medication didn’t work. She exclaimed that they were attempting to get it approved on my insurance. I stated again that I took the samples and it didn’t work. I also stated that I felt they were not listening to me. The nurse then started speaking over and went on a spew about other patients, I attempted to speak up but she kept going. I asked her if she was gonna allow me to speak. She then told me, in these exact words! “I’m looking at my watch now so I can know how long I’m giving you the time to speak!” I said “really? This is how you treat patients? You’re dealing… with sick people everyday and this is how you treat them?!? You should be ashamed!” She got upset with me and began explaining to me about her degree and how she’s been working in her field for 22 years and she’s stays late every night until 9pm?! She also stated that she didn’t judge people on the type of insurance they have! I’m honestly not sure what my insurance has to do with it, or what her degree has to do with it. I have 2 degrees. I asked to speak with someone else in the office and she told me someone else was listening the entire time. But I heard her attempting to explain herself! If someone else was listening, you wouldn’t be explaining yourself to them. I asked to speak with someone else again! She started on another rant of what all she does for patients and how Dr. South went to London to get medication. After I let her go on for a full 5 minutes, she attempted to apologize then said “look I don’t know what you’re on! But I’m sorry”. No ma’am! You have already showed your true colors, don’t insinuate that I’m “on something” because I didn’t just accept your misconduct & rude behavior. If you can’t listen to a patient then this isn’t the field for you. You were clearly judging me or you wouldn’t have even brought up my insurance. You were attempting to be condescending when you stated you have a degree. But what you didn’t know is who you were talking to. After I got off the phone with them I then found out that they were trying to push medications through on my insurance that were never even discussed. I’ve had migraines for 29 years & I’ve never been treated this way In my life. Looking around the Internet, they have several poor reviews. Well Angela Island, I hope you, Kaitlyn Hester & Dr Ron South are proud of yourselves!

He is taking care of my mother after her stroke. He is extremely thorough and kind.

Does not listen to patient, treats you like an idiot! Just keeps you coming back and when pressed for a diagnosis, gives a wrong diagnosis just to shut you up.

I can't tell anyone enough how much I appreciate Dr.South. I've been a patient for, going on,13yrs. He is intelligent, intuitive, kind & respectful. He treats me for MS, Epilepsy, migraines, and CVA's.(Yes, I'm a handful, but he never seems flipant about my med. issues.Probably because he knows I'm not a Hypochondriac~I just have issues, no fault of my own) His Staff is also wonderful.

I would highly recommend Dr. South. I have been a patient for over 12 yrs. He is concerned not only for your current neurological issue at hand but overall quality of life. His staff is very efficient and well trained. I have multiple problems..all indepentent..epilepsy, MS,CVA, migraines. If you are a fake workers' comp case..my opinion, don't waste his time, there are those of us who really need help and work.

With a very extreme case of epilepy im use to being passed around. Over the past 15 years i've been through about 10 doctors. Dr. South was about the 3rd and the line of typical neurologist who just throw medicine at you. "Here, try this and see how it works, come back in three months." He never weighed the pros/cons, side effects, or answered questions. After having epilepsy all my life, I have researched it and know quiet a bit. To sum it up, I left his office very frustrated. Two visits was enough for me.

I have been to many neurologists and Dr. South is superior. I have been a patient for over 10 year, my husband I knew right away that he was intelligent and trustworthy and truly cared for each patient.
