Very thorough doctor! He got and reviewed all my medical history from 3 different urologists over the last 15 years. I keep all the records of my medical history and let me tell you that folder that he got is about 1/2 a foot. I can’t believe that he knew all of my medical history and dates even before he walked in to the room to meet with me. He also spent time with me and explained why I had the tests by the other urologists. I learned much more from him in 25 min than I have in the last 15 years from the other 3 urologists. I’m very happy I found him.

I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I spent at least an hour with him every visit discussing the disease, how it’s treated, what the follow up is like. He explained everything in detail. He answered every question that me and my wife had. He offered us several treatment options, their benefits and limitations. We chose surgery. Dr. pinkhasov did the surgery to remove the cancer and saved the rest of the kidney. I left the hospital the following day. The pathology came back as cancer. All the margins were clear. I did not have a lot of pain. In the evening after surgery, dr. Pinkhasov came to the hospital and made sure I was walking, using the breathing spirometer, and drinking. I feel really good. My friends can’t believe that I just had surgery. My kidney function is excellent! We are schedule to see him back in 6 months. His staff is very professional, courteous, and welcoming. Kudos to upstate urology! Thank you for all your help!!!

Excellent doctor! Very thorough, spends time to explain things, answers questions. My urologists previously released me from care just because I missed one appointment with him. Then I found Dr. Pinkhasov! What a difference in care! He is excellent and really loves what he does! He cares about his patients!!! I was battling stones for many years. All I had previously was procedures to blast them. I had a stone in the one of my ureters for several months that has been neglected. Dr. Pinkhasov, took care of all my stones and tailed the therapy towards preventing stones from recurring. I had two urine studies and so far my numbers look great and promising. Thank you, Dr. Pinkhasov!

Dr. Pinkhasov is taking care of my father with prostate cancer. He sat down and reviewed all the labs, tests and images with us. He then explained the disease process, what to expect and at least 5-6 different treatment options in detail. He went over the risks and benefits of surgery and radiation therapy. He talked about cryotherapy, HIFU, androgen deprivation therapy, and chemotherapy. He scheduled us to get a second opinion with radiation oncologist as well. My father had surgery with Dr. Pinkhasov and we are very happy with the results. My father's PSA is undetectable and he was fully continent by week 4. He spends time with patients, has excellent bedside manner, compassionate, down to earth, and very approachable. He even visited us at home to see how my father is doing. We were impressed! He truly cares about his patients. We need more doctors like him in Utica!
