Dr. Marc Goldstein

I returned for a follow-up visit with Dr. Goldstein after hernia surgery. I should add that he performed a hernia repair on the other side nearly 30 years ago. When the most recent one was diagnosed, I could not think of a doctor I would prefer. He is a consummate professional, highly skilled, and has a very pleasant and agreeable demeanor. For a busy man at the top of his profession, he is attentive and very helpful. I recommend him without reservation.

He’s absolutely awful if you have any post surgical complications or issues. He will take zero responsibility or even attempt to figure out how he might be helpful. He could use a course on compassion.

Goldstein is a nice guy and tries his best to pretend that you are not just another patient among the twenty thousand he has seen but ultimately that’s exactly the feeling I came away with. Spent the whole appointment staring at the computer screen and assuring me he would get to my specific questions, which never happened. He ordered tests and recommended surgery without suggesting that we wait for the results. He spent a lot of time touting his accomplishments but I found some of the claims questionable. Like how could be possibly know that he has the lowest complication rate among surgeons? It’s not as if there’s a central depository for this information.

He's a disaster if you run into any post op issues. He has no true interest in you or any negative issues you might encounter after he's done with his surgical procedure.

Really good doctor who cares about people and perform himself the surgery with excellent results. I was able to completely recover in 48 hrs after the surgery. Strongly advised.

Dr. Goldstein's office is full of wonderful human beings.
