Dr. Samuel S. Maroney

Excellent surgeon: explained in detail before surgery and same detailed explanation afterwards. Highly recommend!

I put all my trust in Dr Maroney and I was not dissapointed. He is truly a great Doctor plus a great person to boot.

84 year old grandmother with dementia was transferred to Dr Maroneys to follow up on her hip surgery. Her GP had mentioned 3 days before that she had a new fracture. She had x-rays last week, and Maroneys office ran another set as well. The Dr. spent very little time in the room, seemed rushed to get on to other patients. Did not address my grandmother's complaint of extreme pain, would not listen to anybody else (again, she has dementia and can't reason clearly)and sent her on her way with zero diagnosis and zero care plan. He still didn't even clarify whether or not she has a new fracture. He may not be accustomed to working with geriatrica, but the Dr seems very new and only focused on moving patients through as if on a high speed conveyor belt. The more visit codes he can submit, the more he gets paid. Now, in all fairness, he may very well be great with young athletes on the sports medicine side of things. But if you care about actually getting care for your loved one… (at least if they're elderly) I would suggest looking elsewhere.

i recently made an appt. with this doctor and specified that i needed 30 min. to discuss some very serious issues. i have 3 drs. telling me 3 different things and i trusted dr, maroney to lead me in t he right direction. after about 7 miinutes into the appt. he left the room and on his way out he, very indescretly, said he could only hear about 2 health issues because he "wouldnt have time for other patients". that is why i asked for 30 min. of his time. meanwhile the "direction" he led me was incorrect anyway. i am very hurt from this and am pondering whether to go back to him.
