Dr. Scott Kiev Epstein, MD

Let me begin with I am not prescribed medication from this doc. I use a homeopathic approach to pain. I have never encountered a person much less a professional that has 0 people skills. He has Zero to offer people people who suffer from Chronic pain. There are other choices if you live in Wayne County!! Look in Pike county folks there is help from REAL docs that literally do not insult there patients.

I found him easy to talk with and he was very thorough in his assessment. I was impressed at the detail and time he spent to actually listen to me and to examine me and then come to his own professional judgement. His staff was kind and patient and since I'm in my late years, that was very important to me.

Recently my husband had to go to see Scott Epstein (can't even call him a dr) for an evaluation to determine if he needs pain mgmt. This is a workers comp case, where my husband has had 4 major surgeries on his neck/spine. He's fused from C2 to T1. He is in constant pain in his arm, neck, throat, and head, and it is literally ruining his life. There is no way that anyone with a conscience could review his medical records and evaluate my husband and say he doesn't need pain management. Epstein is a cold hearted phony who will write what workers comp wants so he can continue getting paid by them. Do not trust this poor excuse of a human being, he's an insult to what doctors are supposed to be.

Very knowledgeable, concerned And thourough

This doc is awful..Every visit was different depending on his mood...Zero compassion and wrote I was non compliant and discharged me because I asked him for a lower strength and dose of same medicine I was taking...This man has issues and should not be a doctor...This discharge is now following me around when I have sought a new pain management doctor and can’t get an appointment anywhere with 100 miles.. He’s the worst I’ve seen and I’ve had 7 serious surgeries in 6 years...I plead that you not put yourself thru this if you want actual help...The absolute worst and if you decide to see him you will find out for yourself!! Shame on him and his staff for even working for this POS...

I can't even call this person a doctor. Epstein is a cold hearted businessman who cares only about money. He spends no time with patient, doesn't listen and just types on his laptop filling out his forms while giving no feedback or eye contact whatsoever. If he does speak to you, he is rude, condescending and nasty. Definitely has a God complex. He has no compassion for patients and does not consider the whole patient in his treatment. He recognizes he is the only pain management "doctor" in Wayne County and the surrounding counties so he believes it gives him license to treat his fellow human beings as trash.

Both Dr. Epstein and his entire staff were kind, courteous, compassionate, knowledgeable, and true professionals. My wife suffers from chronic back pain due to vertebral compression fractures, and also has dementia and memory loss. She hates seeing new doctors. Dr. Epstein immediately won her over, treating her kindly with good humor and dignity. We couldn't be more pleased and are so happy that we found him for her care.

Arthritis and a debilitating neuropathy. He did a test for the neuropathy at the request of my primary care physician. Following that, he upped one med and kept the other the same. I go back for advice on any changes.
