I see Dr. Young on a regular basis. He is friendly and professional. Each visit I am reminded how great a physician he is. Dr. Young and his staff are great and professional and very helpful. I am glad my Doctor referred him to me.

The worst

He has been with me through my whole journey and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I believe Dr. Young is an excellent doctor. His bedside manner is quite ingratiating.

Dr. Young is a "one of a kind". He makes you feel at ease when he enters the room and continues to do so during the examination. He takes the time to talk to you and discuss your symptoms. He enters your information into the computer very thoroughly, according to what my other doctor's tell me. He goes that "extra mile' to find out how he can get you "get well". We need more doctor's like him here in California and other states as well.

I was under the care of Dr Young for three years. I was referred to Young for neurological care in the valley. After a time I developed symptoms that ruined my life. Dr Young misdiagnosed my condition for three years. He declared that nothing could be done surgically to improve my condition. i became depressed. My family took me for a second opinion. With in two wees I went into surgery under the care of a new neurologist that saved my life. I would advise anyone under the care of Young to get a second opinion from a Dr that has no affiliation to Young. He is not a good doctor.

This doctor thinks he knows it all the minute I walked in his office he stated that he was from Cedars-Sinai When I told him that I thought he only saw HMO patients because he belong to an HMO group. He was upset he dismissed me and referred me to his partner make McGwan who was just as bad. He could barely speak English. I was referred to him because Eisenhower trying to care doctor asked me to see him. I will never go back to his office again. He was rude had limited knowledge and had poor bedside manners awful plain awful!!!!!!

I have MS, which requires regularly-scheduled steroid treatments. If I go beyond this period, I have relapses. Dr. Young kept wanting to wait for treatment despite my rapidly worsening symptoms. It took about three weeks to get an appointment...and this is only AFTER two trips to Urgent Care and a phone call from their Dr. Once treatment was started, I asked for something for the neuropathy pain and was told by his staff that he wanted to wait until I had the treatment, despite my having NEVER asked him for pain medication prior to this. Six days later, I left a message with his office in the a.m. and, again, in the p.m. and didn't get a response. Left a message again (4th request!) in the a.m. and didn't get a response until late afternoon. He prescribed a medication that I'm already taking, at a lower dose! I ended up going to my General Practitioner who gave me the proper dosage of said medication plus another one. It took a few days, but the pain started to… subside...unfortunately, I truly believe the nerve damage I have is permanent. I won't be able to do anything until my insurance changes in December. Maybe I'll be able to get a more compassionate and reliable doctor at that point.

This particular doctor will order a variety of tests to be conducted but will not follow up with you for months. Once a "diagnoses" has been made he will continue to make you suffer in pain for another 4-6 months and then will do nothing about it. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone that is looking for any type of help with nerve damage as he doesn't care about you as a person or a patient. All he cares about is the money that he gets from the tests that he orders.

I was told by Mayo Clinic that I must have a great doctor (meaning Dr. Young) for diagnosing my rare disease. He's a great doctor -- takes a while to get an appointment but well worth the wait!
