An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.

This is a 'puppy mill' style practice, meaning that its office's practices favor quantity of bodies *seen* over quality of care. This is evident in everything from excessive wait times to the gross lack of priority placed on client health. Unnecessary tests are a requirement if you want to continue being seen; anything that runs up the tab is fair game. Truly important matters such as timeliness of necessary prescriptions and taking time to hear, understand, and attend to a client's needs, are left by the wayside. Instead of engaged healthcare, a river of prescriptions are slung at symptoms. Dr. Martin's nursing staff are pleasant and if you get Dr. Martin on most days, she is too. There have been awkward visits when she stepped into the room inexplicably addled, combative, and ultimately just bizarre. The office staff are a hit and a miss. Her office manager is way off her game and confusingly accusatory when handling normal client relations. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who had another option.
