I highly advise people do NOT see this doctor! Staff are extremely rude. The amount of incompetence here is staggering!!

This Dr. Will figure out what no other can. The oodles of test she runs are for a reason. She needs to what others missed. After I had been through the gauntlet of others for years she figured me out in weeks. She's a miracle worker.

I was referred to Dr. Whitaker at the Sorrento Perdido Key Ascension Sacred Heart clinic by the Director of Sacred Heart, who highly recommended her. Well, aside from all the negative reviews she has received about how late she always runs on her appointments, her bedside manner is so very discouraging. She basically has no bedside manner and she is very abrupt in the way she speaks to you. I had a few medical concerns I spoke to her about, and she immediately assumed I have an auto immune disorder. She ran oodles of tests that cost me a lot of out of pocket expense and it basically turned out nothing she could figure out. She wanted to put me on all kinds of medications and when I questioned that, she basically sent me a canned letter saying she can no longer meet my needs. Wow, truly shocking that this clinic does this, they have canned letters that will cancel you from their practice if you so much as question something. And the Director and Manager of the clinic actually condone… this type of action.

Dr. Whitaker is a very compassionate, intelligent, and innovative physician. Not many doctors took my complaints seriously as I am young and appear psychically healthy. Dr. Whitaker did in-depth studies and has resolved all of my issues. I could not have asked for a better physician. I see a few complaints mentioning wait time, to that I say, if you want comprehensive medicine then you may need to wait a few more minutes that usual because she does not allow her patients to leave without everything being resolved.

I think she is just the best doctor I have ever had. She is kind, loving and concerned about her patients. She is very thorough and she want stop until she finds the health problem.

Dr. Sonja Whitaker and staff are The best. I would recommend anyone to this doctor. She has been as through and complete in my diagnosis and continues to work with me.( kind and compassionate,) She is a real asset to medical field. - Rebecca -

The office is nice, but the nurses are rude. The nurse who comes in with the computer is very rude and doesn't listen. The minimum wait time to see the doctor is 1 hour - always. I have waited two hours before. When she finally comes in, she's very rushed and does not listen to your questions. She will tell you that you are wrong and act like you're being a hypochondriac. By doing that, she misdiagnosed a serious illness I had. Her PA also incorrectly diagnosed me twice. I've never had a good experience, and many other patients have the same complaints.

Dr. Whitaker cares for both my wife and myself. We cannot imagine ever having anyone else protect our health, and lives. She uses extensive testing to zero-in on the precise diagnosis for our health before talking to us about it. What this means to you as a patient is that you will not be stressed by speculation; you will know exactly what your health situation is, and what path you will take to overcome any adversity. Dr. Whitaker combines not only her medical degree, but adds a Ph.D in Psychology. Again, what this means to you as a patient is that not only do you have an incrediblycompetent physician healing your body, you have an equally brilliant psychologist who deals with the emotional issues you face when combating a bad health situation. This combination is unduplicated, to the best of my knowledge, anywhere in NW Florida, and SE Alabama. I cannot adequately express in words how powerful this combination is; I can express the joy that you will feel when it is you, or… your loved one who is being treated, and that person or you are smoothly riding towards the best health outcome possible. Please don't make the mistake of missing out on this wonderful physician. You will sense immediately that you've found the best possible choice for your helath care, and will never once regret being under her care.
