Dr. Stefan David Tarlow, MD

I've seen Dr. Tarlow three times now and each time he was professional but has an interesting personality . I had an injury at work I originally had twisted my knee and had a small tear . Apparently I have arthritis also .His bedside manner has a lot to be desired and I found him to be a bit sarcastic and not very caring or compassionate . It's hard to communicate with someone that you feel like you cant speak your mind and have a conversation about how you feel about your health. It was pretty much you have arthritis in your knee that's the end of the story here's the shot come back in three months and that's all I have to say about it. I'm disappointed in the care I got as arthritis is a debilitating illness extremely painful and I felt a bit concerned because I wanted to talk more about that. But he's not the kind of dr you can do that with. Will I end up in a wheelchair will I someday need surgery ? There was no discussion about that at all . My next step will be… to a rheumatologist one that I know will understand my pain suffering and the steps that we can do to help me get through it .

Had both knees replaced 6 month apart 5 years ago. No pain & I can hike anywhere & do anything. I'm 250 lbs. & 65 yes old. I've fallen on my knees a few times with no damage. Amazing! I was in hospital just overnight with second knee. 2 nights with the first due to reaction to meds. Scopalomine patch in pre op solved that problem with second knee.

Exceptional,,,,,,,,,both knees have been replaced and i have NO PAIN!!! Dr. Tarlow replaced my knees in 2006/2007. I play golf and tennis and walk every day. What a blessing!

He is truly everything for which I was looking. Great listener, covered everything succinctly. From assessment to diagnosis to prognosis, we connected. His e-ray tech and the quality of those pics was humbling. Can't say enough. If your looking for a 2nd opinion, look no further!!

I had a partial knee replacement in the beginning of July. I was walking right away and everything went just as Dr. Tarlow said it would. I was a little concerned before the procedure but I feel like brand new!

I have been seeing Dr. Tarlow for years. He has great bedside manner and is an excellent surgeon.

their isn't words to explain One of the best doctors in my life Dr Tarlow changed my life practically over night I have a blood clotting disorder and no doctor would touch me. I met w Dr Tarlow and he agreed he would do the surgery , I needed someone I could believe in see I really haven't had to much motion in my right knee for a few reasons . I had surgery May 4th Im back to normal I do everything I use to do Thank you Dr. Tarlow your a Totally life saver. You and your whole staff are absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! I highly recommend this office. See ya next surgery on the left knee.

Dr. Tarlow is the man. I have nothing but great things to say about him. He tells to the truth about what you are going to have done and what you will go through before, during, and after surgery. He is also a master at his craft. I have many people that cannot believe how fast I recovered and how well my total knee replacement went. I would recommend Dr. Tarlow to anyone that needs a knee replaced, you will thank me and Dr. Tarlow.

This is my 2nd visit to Dr. Tarlow. I have found that he is straight forward with your diagnosis. He took the time and effort to show me exactly what was happening with my knee and what my options are. He also recommended that not do surgery at this time as he felt there were options based off the condition of my knee and my physical condition. I have found him to be very engaging during the exam with a good sense of humor. I highly recommend Dr. Tarlow.
